FAITH NO MORE 'Actively Planning U.S. Dates'

According to a Twitter message posted by FAITH NO MORE bassist Billy Gould, the band is "now actively planning U.S. dates." More information will be made available soon. FAITH NO MORE kicked off its reunion tour on June 10 with a headlining performance at the Brixton Academy in London, England. Original guitarist Jim Martin is not part of the reunion. Performing in his place is Jon Hudson, who played with FAITH NO MORE during the latter stages of its initial run after Martin departed. The rest of the band's best-known lineup — singer Mike Patton, Gould, drummer Mike "Puffy" Bordin and keyboardist Roddy Bottum — is intact. FAITH NO MORE released "The Very Best Definitive Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection" on June 8 in the U.K. via Rhino Records. This double disc set contains the band's greatest hits on the first CD, while the second CD features b-sides and rarities. Professionally filmed video footage of FAITH NO MORE's August 23, 2009 performance at the Area 4 festival in Lüdinghausen, Germany can be viewed below.

Gotta keep the updates about this, because these shows will pretty much all sell out the day they go on sale in any venue, like an arena or smaller.

Just for the history of it. Mike Patton is one of the best singers/frontmen ever. Even though I think they have mellowed out quite a bit for their age, they still sound tight and they put together a helluva set list for a lot of the European shows.

Well, I thought for a minute they might not tour the U.S just to get us! Thought maybe they'd dub an album first then start a new worldwide tour. But, I'm very glad FNM are back and touring the states.
I can't wait for a home show in SF bay area! I hope it doesn't sell out too fast. If they play the fillmore, I'm fuckin' there! Just please don't charge us a foot and a hand...I'd probably still pay that much if they did play fillmore...
