MOTÖRHEAD's LEMMY: 'The Best Story I Ever Heard...' - Oct. 22, 2009
U.K.'s Internet television channel Channel Bee has uploaded a short video clip of MOTÖRHEAD mainman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister recalling "the best story he ever heard" involving legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT). Watch the clip below.

that I heard from Lemmy. The best I heard from him was about an 8 year old boy wanting to get sex disease so he could pass it to the gardener at his house for squishing a frog.

But then again, it's Lemmy... he must have thousands of good stories.

COMMENT | I liked it

I truly think that Blackmore would be murdered for doing something like that. Especially if he'd done it to someone who knows how to get back in with him.

Blackmore is funny for holding grudges with former band mates though.

Blackmore is a shit talker and a bastard, which makes him fun. Don't think he'd risk his livelihood, by doing something that could result in murder or at least serious legal trouble. Petty bullshit at it's best:

Murder makes sense when stripped naked and shipped to Iceland, no?

What I think Lemmy is talking about is a little bit off. There was a tour manager who did piss off Ritchie, and Ritchie was going to do what Lemmy said, but instead he stripped the guy nude--after drugging him--and had him hoisted over the stage live, when Rainbow played: http://www.rainbowfanclan.com has the information on this. Unfortunately, the website uses frames, so I can't give you the exact link. But to find the article, go to Vintage Article and the Eric Thompson incident in 1977.
