MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist To Help Raise Autism Awareness And Funds For Children In Need - Oct. 24, 2009
The 4th Annual Denim and Diamonds event, hosted by Autism Care and Treatment, will be held this Saturday, October 24th in Hidden Hills, California.

The Stars and ACTivists for autism care and treatment will shine bright this weekend at Act Today's fourth annual Denim and Diamonds fundraiser, benefiting children with autism.

Denim and Diamonds 2009 will be held at a private equestrian estate in the exclusive community of Hidden Hills, California on Saturday, October 24 from 6 to 10 p.m., co-hosted by Jerry Penacoli, senior reporter of the syndicated entertainment news show "Extra" and ACT Today's executive director, Nancy Alspaugh-Jackson.

Denim and Diamonds will be a fun-filled evening mixed with a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. The night will kick off with an appearance by MÖTLEY CRÜE's Nikki Sixx, who will personally auction off an autographed bass guitar, followed by the premiere of performer LORI HART-DORFF's single "Big Day", written by Andrew Dorff and Angela Kasset, and produced by veteran record producer Steve Dorff.

All proceeds from the sale of "Big Day" will go to fund grants for families with autistic children.

After a program and live auction, the night will be topped off with a performance and dancing by SACRED COWBOYS, from the HBO television series "Deadwood".

A great person Nikki is! He rocks. Can't wait to buy whatever comes out of this. Motley Crue is the best ever!

...oh, wait, I'm not RiotAct666.

Oh well, this is a good cause, nevertheless.

Yes, this is a great cause and it's nice to see Sixx helping out. That bass should fetch a couple thousand.

Though I'm not a huge fan of Motley Crue, I really can't thank Nikki enough for the light he's casting on this sad and little known or understood condition.

My son is autistic and I know first hand how hard it can be for more and more families every day. God bless you Nikki Sixx!

Pretty cool of Nikki to do this.

Now he needs to do something to help Tommy Lee.
