RATT: New Album Title Announced - Oct. 25, 2009
Californian rockers RATT have set "Infestation" as the title of their new album, due in March 2010 via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records. The band's first studio CD in 10 years was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, whose credits include PUDDLE OF MUDD, CHEVELLE, SALIVA, LIMP BIZKIT, ALTER BRIDGE and THREE DAYS GRACE, to name a few. The effort — which has been described by singer Stephen Pearcy as a cross between 1984's "Out Of The Cellar" and 1985's "Invasion Of Your Privacy" — marked the first time the group had stepped outside of Los Angeles to track a new CD in 20-plus years.

Video footage of RATT guitarist Warren DeMartini laying down a solo on the band's new song "Lost Weekend" at a studio in Virginia Beach, Virginia in June 2009 can be viewed below.

RATT and EXTREME recently teamed up to bring you this summer's most rockin' tour lineup. The tour, which featured sets from both bands with RATT closing, kicked off on July 12 in Amarillo, Texas and ran through August 7 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of their landmark debut "Out Of The Cellar", RATT played the album in its entirety.

Over the past two years, RATT has toured the world in support of their releases "Tell The World - The Very Best Of Ratt" and their first-ever DVD, "Videos from the Cellar - The Atlantic Years". During this time, the current lineup of Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, Bobby Blotzer, Robbie Crane and Carlos Cavazo played shows in Australia, Colombia and Peru for the first time in their careers.

Pearly Jizz doesn't sing for them anymore. Poor Pearl Squirt.

These guys should put out an album of 14 different Round and Round mixes.

it is relly good to see alot of the 80's bands still around making new music.. i for one grew up during the 80's and still love the old school music! i hate when all these little kids on this site hate on bands for making music!! if you dont like it leave it!!
the bands of today couldnt hold a candle next to the old school hair bands!!!

Warren and Carlos are great guitar players, Robbie and Bobby are a rock steady kitchen, but I got to say Pearce is singing like shit.

Anyway they are better than any modern rock band and I was missing them a lot.

For the basher above I have a question: I f don't like the eighties why you waste your time posting shit about that?

Oh yeah I know, is because you don't have a life and you feel like shit...I got news for ya kid, nobody cares about you, go back to the hole where you came from...

Those riffs were pure 80's hair metal. In my book that just fine. If you say "its a cross between this and that" youd better pull it off and it sounds like they got it right. If it aint fucking broke dont fucking fix it.
