EVILE Launches Tribute Web Site For Late Bassist - Oct. 25, 2009

U.K. thrashers EVILE have launched a tribute web site for the band's bassist Mike Alexander, who tragically passed away on October 5, 2009 while on tour in Sweden.

Commented the group: "We wanted a definite place which people could visit to commemorate, remember and celebrate Mike.

"Thank you so much from all of EVILE and Mike's family for all the support. It really means alot.

"We'll be posting news regarding any benefit shows for Mike on the site, and also thanks to UKthrash.co.uk, people can donate direct to Mike's family, as well as send tributes, flowers etc. to the family via our management.

"We're hoping to arrange two very special memorial nights for Mike, so please keep an eye out (not literally out of its socket).

"Please leave your messages for Mike's family and friends in the condolences section, and send any Mike pictures you have to the address on the site.

"Thank you to Hayley, Kathy Waters, Chris Wordsworth, Talita Jenman and Julie Weir for all the help getting this site going."

BrooklynRocks conducted an interview with EVILE guitarist Ol Drake and Mike Alexander on August 20, 2009 at the Earache Records offices in New York City. Watch the chat below.

EVILE's sophomore album, "Infected Nations", was released on September 21 in Europe and September 22 in the U.S. via Earache Records.

	Dude what the hell is wrong with you. If my best friend died I and someone asked why bother making a tribute site for him, I'd probably break their nose. Plus, while the first album was very slayerish, which I could do without, the new album is fucking kick ass. One of the best thrash albums in a long time. Check it out before you open your big mouth.

	saw them at bloodstock '08 - all really great guys. they were wandering around the arena talking to people - i met mike and shook his hand. i haven't checked blabbermouth in a while so when i opened it up today this came as a shock. RIP
