LIMP BIZKIT Frontman: 'We Have Recorded What We Feel Is Our Most Addictive Album Yet' - Oct. 26, 2009
LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst has issued the following update:

"We have recorded what we feel is our most addictive album yet — instrumentally. I am in process of doing vocals now in my home studio. So far I am four songs deep and moving along with confidence and grace. We haven't committed to an album title yet, but we know of one we like. Release date will be a soon as I am finished. A single and video will be our way before that.

"We want to get to South America, etc. [as soon as possible] and hit the U.S. and Canada with the big finale. We will go worldwide w this tour and have been asked to headline most of 2010 festivals."

LIMP BIZKIT's forthcoming CD will be their first new studio album with the original lineup since 2000's "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water". Durst recently told the NME.com, "I'm having a great feeling about going in and doing our record, more than I have about any of our albums before. It's not going to be a watered-down version of LIMP BIZKIT, it's going to be a more explosive, more addictive, more driven version of LIMP BIZKIT."

Flip/Interscope Records will announce more details in the coming months.

The band's first three albums have sold more than 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.

I am NOT a fan of their music. Moreover, Borland and Durst hate each other. At some point, they realized that their egos weren't strong enough to pay the bills. Why else would two people that despise each other work together again? Also, isn't it weird to see a 40-year old wigger singing rap tunes on stage? I think Durst should stick to directing...

I still maintain, after all these years, that 3 dollar bill was a good disc.
Borland still has talent, he must be broke as fuck, though.
I think Durst has made them the joke that they shall continue to be.
No redemption or comeback, really, a novelty act is all they shall continue to be. I saw the festival shit from this summer, nothing to write home about.

Otto and Rivers are a decent rhythm section, seriously. Very acceptable groove.

Oh yeah, MESHUGGAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

OK, It's really funny to read all of these talkbacker comments. First off, Metal has never been defined to one sound. If any era knows that better it's the 80's when bands such as Motley Crue, Poisen, and Twisted Sister were considered Metal. Metal has no real definition or clear sound, it's just a label. So to all of the fans of Harcore Metal, please be quiet and take a class dealing with Music History. I enjoy some of Limp Bizkits' music, but I enjoy an eclectic variety of music. If you really want to hear want inspires alot of the Metal bands out there, listen to classical Music Composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, there are a ton of them . Educate yourself before speaking.

It's funny to read how the people who don't like this band, really HATE this band, and the people who love Limp Bizkit LOVE this band. There doesn't seem to be anyone really in between.

In other words, people who hate Limp Bizkit are racists.

3 doller bill y'all was a pretty good, aggressive album that even today has staying power. the unspeakable truth part 1 also had some sweet tunes (not all good but most were) that most open minded hard rockish fans would enjoy. if i told you it's LB you'd say it's shit but if i tell you it's LOG or something then suddenly it'd be decent songs. not that long ago i went back and listened to some significant other and chocolate starfish songs and most of them really arent good at all. there's just a handful of half decent songs between the two albums but 3 dollar and unspeakable truth were/are still worth listening too and checking out.

free your minds!!!

I love how LB judge their music on how addictive it is rather then how good it is.

Nu Metal was great, there were loads of bands that weren't Creed or LB that played music that could be described as heavy technical punk, which is kind of what early trash was.
