SKINLAB: Orangevale Footage Posted Online - Oct. 26, 2009
Capital Chaos has uploaded video footage (see below) of veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers SKINLAB performing the song "In For The Kill" on October 24, 2009 at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, California. Also on the bill were DROP SEVEN, JUDHEAD, KEBERT XELA and AWAITING THE APOCALYPSE.

SKINLAB recently announced the addition of guitarist Brian Jackson (formerly of the Las Vegas band KREEP) to the group's ranks. The band said, "Brian stepped in after only a week to learn a 14-song set and has absolutely crushed shit while on tour. He's proven to be a perfect fit for SKINLAB and is willing to dedicate himself 150% to SKINLAB."

SKINLAB was forced to cancel its "Sons of a Sikworld Tour" with MOWER earlier in the month after vocalist/bassist Steev Esquivel was diagnosed with "a severe lung infection" before the October 3 concert in Herkimer, New York.

SKINLAB's new album, "The Scars Between Us", was issued on September 15 via Stand And Deliver Records.

The band's video for the song "In for the Kill" was filmed in May 2008 at the group's warehouse in Oakland, California with new, up-and-coming director Jourdan McClure and it features appearances by UFC fighter Nate Quarry and Greg Thompson.

SKINLAB released a live album, "SkinnedAlive!", in April 2008 via BCD Music Group. The CD was recorded on June 3, 2007 at The Metro in Oakland, California.

They're albums are great. I still listen to them every now and then. I'm just pist when I was in CA for the week I missed their show in Hollywood. I really wanted to see them again this time in near their home town. They need to do a show in JAXX in Virginia!!!
Last time I saw them was back in 2002/2003 at the 9:30 Club, I was singing all their songs on the front row, great times!
