Musica Metal, halfway through the set, singer
Steve Lee and guitarist
Leo Leoni sat centerstage armed with just one guitar, and took requests from the audience for three songs to perform acoustically.
Lee was challenging the audience to come up with "any of the 140 songs that they've written in the 17-18 years of
GOTTHARD's career."
"Heaven" was among the three tracks suggested by audience members and picked up by the band.
GOTTHARD's new album,
"Need To Believe", was released on September 4 via
Nuclear Blast Records.
GOTTHARD has opened for such renowned artists as
AC/DC,
DEEP PURPLE,
BRYAN ADAMS and
BON JOVI throughout Europe. The band has also had the honor of performing at the world-famous
Montreux Jazz Festival, is two-time winner of its native country's
Prix Walo Award, recipient of Monaco's
International Music Award, and has had its music featured on the soundtrack to the European television series
"Frankie".
