THE ABSENCE To Enter Studio Next Week - Oct. 27, 2009
Tampa, Florida melodic thrash outfit THE ABSENCE will enter Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida on Monday, November 2 to begin recording its third album for an early 2010 release via Metal Blade Records. Guitarist Patrick Pintavalle states, "We will be tracking with Brian Elliot and mixing duties will be handled by Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE).

"We are all very excited to get this record out and to begin touring again as soon as possible."

THE ABSENCE's sophomore CD, "Riders of the Plague", was released on August 7, 2007 via Metal Blade Records. The album was recorded at Mana Studios in Florida with Swedish producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CARNAL FORGE). Mixing duties were handled by Jonas at his Black Lounge studios in Avesta, Sweden. The CD features guest appearances by guitarists James Murphy (DEATH, TESTAMENT), Jonas Kjellgren, Per Nilsson (SCAR SYMMETRY) and Santiago Dobles (AGHORA) as well as guest vocals by Jonas Granvik (WITHOUT GRIEF, EDGE OF SANITY).

Its about damn time! From Your Grave and Riders were phenomenal cds. Definitely one of the top American death metal bands these days

dig both their albums. Riders of the Plague was very solid. this is not a complaint but i will be very happy if this album is more intense and heavier than riders of the plague.

either way Jonas will do a fantastic job mixing it. come to southwestern ontario guys
