New TRIVIUM Song To Appear On 'God Of War Heavy Metal EP' - Oct. 30, 2009
"God of War III Ultimate Edition", an exclusive collector's pack celebrating the final installment of the award-winning franchise, will include "God Of War"-inspired downloadable music in the form of the "God Of War Trilogy" soundtrack and the "God Of War Heavy Metal EP" (Extended Play). Florida's TRIVIUM is known to have recorded a new song for the latter, which is described as "a heavy metal homage featuring original music inspired by 'God Of War'."

Developed by Sony, "God Of War III" is set in the realm of Greek mythology and is a single-player game that allows players to take on the climatic role of the ex-Spartan warrior, Kratos, as he treads through the intimidating heights of Mt. Olympus and the dark depths of hell to seek revenge on those who betrayed him. Armed with double-chained blades, Kratos must take on mythology's darkest creatures while solving intricate puzzles throughout his merciless quest to destroy Olympus.

TRIVIUM's participation in the game was revealed on October 20 during guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy's interview with Kidd Christoff of Baltimore's 98Rock radio station. The chat can be streamed using the audio player below.
