LITA FORD And Husband Interviewed On 'The Smiley Morning Show'; Video Available - Oct. 30, 2009
'80s hard rock queen Lita Ford and her husband Jim Gillette (NITRO) were interviewed yesterday (Thursday, October 29) on "The Smiley Morning Show", a morning program airing on the Indianapolis, Indiana radio station WZPL 99.5 FM. Watch the chat below.

"Wicked Wonderland", the first album in 15 years from Lita Ford, sold around 2,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 31 on the Top Hard Music Albums chart.

"Wicked Wonderland" was released in Europe on October 2 via earMUSIC/Edel. The set was issued in the U.S. on October 6 through Lita's own JLRG Entertainment label as a regular CD and limited-edition vinyl with different artwork.

In an "innovative" music marketing move, Ford released a single from "Wicked Wonderland" on Stockroom.com, the world's leading fetish site. It is believed to be the first time a relatively high-profile music release has been launched through a web site catering to the alternative fetish lifestyle.

QUEENSRŸCHE and Ford have teamed up for over two dozen dates beginning October 15. Lita is hitting the stage during the QUEENSRŸCHE set to perform three songs, including "Close My Eyes Forever", which she is singing with QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate. For all songs, Lita is being backed by QUEENSRŸCHEGeoff Tate on vocals, Michael Wilton and Parker Lundgren on guitars, Eddie Jackson on bass and Scott Rockenfield on drums.

Saw her with Queensryche this year. Great show that was. Lita & Geoff Tate performing "Close My Eyes Forever" was amazing. Tate sang very well and just nailed that song. New album from LF is pretty good as well.

I was at the Westbury show and she got a standing ovation so I guess the 2000+ in attendance thought she was OK.
I loved the show.
She sang 2 songs with Jim and then Geoff came out and they did a killer version of Close My Eyes.

Look at the size of Gillette. Nitro FTW. Fighting failed, opening for Lita is the only way I would show up. Yeah, I know a niche band, but one of the bands I lved in the 80's. At least Gillete could sing the chorus instead of some unknown local lame DJ trying to be cutting edge. Lets all talk borderline radio safe sex. UGH, shoot me fucking now.

Interview was unfunny, typical radio.

I hope they asked them plenty of questions about that comic that RiotAct666 loves so much... you know, the one where they're fighting zombies.

I totally agree with you. I'm still trying to figure out what she see in Jim. I saw the 1996 interview where she said she married a guy who was all man. Then I found out it was the guy from Nitro who had to have gotten his balls cut off. I also saw them on That Metal Show. He follows Lita on a leash lately. SHe has to be wearing the pants in the couple.

Remember on Seinfeld where George and Elaine are fed up with Jerry and his girlfriend always getting sickeningly affectionate with eachother to the point of nauseum? We have it here all over again. She (they) constantly talk about how sexy Lita is lately. Not to me. I like sexy performers like Cristina Aguilera, for example who perform for their audience without having to drag their significant other. Yeah, good for them they are happy together, but honestly they are kind of annoying.

whatever with music but it's always about Jim and Lita's bedroom show....apparently these are the only two human beings that have sex regularly. You know she wants to discuss the new CD, but Jim the pimp Gillette has to have it be about their sex lives and all the "crazy" shit they do....pathetic

They've been together for over fifteen years, I think it's pretty cool they're still into each other, although they could tone down the PDA a bit. Jim made a shitload of money in the construction business and they have a huge house in the Caribbean. Life is good for them.

As for the Queensryche thing I'm still torn. Lita's okay and a better guitarist than she gets credit for being, but Geoff Tate singing "Close My Eyes Forever" is just WEIRD for me.

that she kept her body in shape and she's open to frequent sex. otherwise this couple would've been divorced long ago.

She's barely recognizable in Brutal Legend, plus no one mentions her involvement for some reason.
