Ex-MEGADETH Bassist ELLEFSON Available For Live Calls, Phone Appearances, Video Press Releases - Nov. 1, 2009
Former MEGADETH/current F5 bassist David Ellefson is among the "celebrities" featured on Hollywood Is Calling, a site that offers personalized messages, birthday greetings, etc. from your favorite star. A description of the service reads as follows: "Now for the first time ever you can have a real celebrity make a live phone call to someone you know for just $19.95. You can also purchase an email video greeting card with a message from your favorite star for just $5. [The site has] also just added a new Celebrity Video Press Release service which you can use to create a celebrity-hosted video of your next press release. Whether it's for a special occasion or business, there's no better way to impress a client, sweetheart or a friend then to use HollywoodIsCalling.com."

Hollywood Is Calling's mission statement: "Hollywood Is Calling was created to make it possible for people all across the globe to be inspired and entertained by live phone calls from actual celebrities. As most modern day celebrities are unique in their ability to affect and enhance the lives of others we thought this service would be an extraordinary opportunity to make that possible on a global scale.

"In addition to being tremendously accomplished the one thing all the celebrities we choose for this service have in common is an unprecedented appreciation for their growing legion of fans.

"Hollywood Is Calling is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people everywhere with the kind of magic, motivation and fun that can be created when a real celebrity calls you."

A short video clip of David Ellefson talking about the Hollywood Is Calling service can be viewed below.

Pick up my dry cleaning?
Mow my lawn?
Clean the rain gutters?
Put up/take down Christmas lights?

Just wondering where the line is, that's all.

Know what would be funny?

If Dave Mustaine calls and asks about Metallica.

The 'celebrities' in quotes is priceless, but really takes the cake is how they misspelled Megadeth on the website. Poor, poor Junior. He tries so hard.

It's good to see that Dr. Elmo is still alive. That guy is more metal than Junior, by far.

this is a new low for junior. i wonder what his cut is on the $5 and $20 services. this site is basically has-been celebs whoring themselves for minimum wage, how sad.
