KISS: Footage From VOODOO EXPERIENCE Available - Nov. 2, 2009
Video footage of KISS' October 31, 2009 performance at the 11th annual Voodoo Experience music festival in New Orleans can be viewed below.

More than 150 acts played on eight stages in three separate areas — named Le Ritual, Le Flambeau and Le Carnival — around the city.

Other major acts on the Voodoo Experience bill included JANE'S ADDICTION, WOLFMOTHER, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, MEAT PUPPETS and DOWN.

Fuse will provide on-air and online coverage of the Voodoo Experience and will broadcast a one-hour special on November 6.

Paul Stanley says that he feels no shame in KISS being lumped in with other vintage, or classic rock acts — in fact, the band is thrilled with the fact that they're now spanning there different generations with their music and bombastic live shows.

Stanley, who's out on the road with KISS in support of their first album in a decade, called "Sonic Boom", told Metal Hammer magazine, "I'm proud to be in the category of classic rock bands — what's better than the word 'classic?' Are you kidding? If you want to call LED ZEPPELIN a classic rock band and then you want to call us a classic rock band, I'm not fighting. If I'm going to be lumped in with anybody, let me be lumped in with my heroes. That doesn't preclude you from being current. It means that you have a solid history and a foundation, which most bands will never achieve because they won't survive that long."

Stanley is amazed at how quickly the time has flown since the band started. "It really has gone by in the blink of an eye," he said. "It's staggering to have 35 years behind the band. And all the excitement, and the challenges, the victories, the soap operas — everything. And yet it seems, y'know, like the blink of an eye."

I think you're out of touch. This is not the same setlist they've played for the last 10yrs. While they perform many of the same songs, there are plenty of tunes they had not played for a while.

"one of the best live bands of all time" um... no.
one of the most predictable semi-live bands of all time... yes.
at least they finally got a decent drummer...
but they still suck live and still write shitty songs...
this is a band that has like 50 + greatest hits records of the same stupid shit... just watched the first video... for such a great live band with such simple songs, they sure do fuck up a lot. ha ha ha. i bet you bought the thousand dollar live box set too... losers

I was there, i just got back home, the show was awsome, the crowd was awsome, and the crowd was into it the whole time, and it was one of the largrst crowds that i have seen kiss play at. The dude that wrote the article couldnt have been at the same show.

are dumb. I was at the show and I can tell you, the crowd was loving it. But you also have to understand that the majority of KISS fans nowadays are alot older and don't freak out as much. I happen to be younger and I was extremely excited and was freaking, mainly because I am also a HUGE Kiss fan. And Genesburger, Katrina only made us stronger, so the city is better than ever. If KISS really felt like the crowd wasnt that into it, then they have some serious ego issues. But from what I saw, they were loving it just as much as we were.

Two originals and two imposters.

Yes, it is the same set list over and over and over.
If the $cab$ are superior musicans, where's some killer tunes off Rock and roll over and Destroyer? Sweet Pain, Flaming Youth, Take Me, Mr. Speed? Has any of these tunes EVER been played live?

Where's the Vincent and Kulick material? Not for the innocent, young and wasted, Domino?

I was at the show and this was redemption for that last show in 2000 at the N.O. arena with the original line up who were tired and dragging behind because of Peter's playing. The crowd was into it and as for Paul's comments, he was f-ing with the crowd to get a reaction. The same way a wrestler gets the crowd aggitated. They played a great show.

And Genesburger eat a bag of dicks! NOLA is stronger than ever! You try losing EVERYTHING and see how you handle it. Most people would have killed themselves afer what we went through. You seem like the tough talker that cries after he skins his knee. The scars we got after that storm made all of us stronger!
