FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH To Release 'Dying Breed' Digital Single - Nov. 2, 2009
Los Angeles metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have confirmed a November 16 digital release for "Dying Breed", the opening track to their latest album, "War Is The Answer", currently available in the U.K. via Spinefarm Records. The digital single also features "Succubus", a bonus track previously unreleased and taken from the sessions for "The Way Of The Fist", the band’s debut album. A demo version of the song found its way online a few years ago and, due to popular demand, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently remixed and remastered it.

The FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH / SHADOWS FALL U.K. co-headline tour is now on sale, with RISE TO REMAIN and MAGNACULT completing the bill. The London date has now sold out, and by popular demand the Manchester show at the Academy 2 has been upgraded to the larger Academy room.

"War Is The Answer" sold 44,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 7 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD follows up FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's 2007 debut, "The Way Of The Fist", which has sold more than 350,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"War Is The Answer" was released in the U.S. on September 22 via Prospect Park Records. The CD was produced by the band and Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, IN THIS MOMENT), and was mixed by Randy Staub (METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE, NICKELBACK). According to a press release, "the record evolves the band's already mature sound, ranging from the undeniable melodies in 'Hard to See' to the brutally nihilistic 'Burn It Down' — destined to please fans both new and old."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH kicked off "The Shock And Roar Tour" on September 22 in San Francisco. Joining them on the bill are SHADOWS FALL, OTEP and 2 CENTS.

Good for them. I'm sure everyone will come here just to bash it. Cause they all have nothing better to do in life.

I forgot that Mr. Moody was the lead singer for Motograter for a while...Motograter was more tolerable than this...I don't understand why moody insists on using so many cuss words in his music. I would respect it a lot more, if he could write actual lyrics than F this and F that...very lame! FFDP is ridiculous! They might go down as the worst band ever!

RiotAct666 is a Blabbermouth.net user. Basically, he's know for posting really fucking stupid comments on Blabbermouth saying how much he loves shitty, mainstream music. He then goes on to say that he'll be a first day buyer of said musician's craptastic CD and attend their lame ass concerts. Luckily, there are trolls who make fun of him for his douchebaggery. However, instead of taking the hint that everyone think's he's a dumbass and stop posting or at least getting a new user name, he soldiers on in name of shitty metal.

The guy sounds like a complete loser, saying I call us Bada**. That is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and then say with a straight face, that his band doesn't worry about airplay and that their shirts are in hot topic...dude, seriously! And have you read the lyrics, ok, I'm not into breaking down every lyric to every band I listen to either, but they're bad, real bad! I don't listen to bands like this. Saying the F-word a thousand times in your songs is so yesterday and doesn't say a lot about creativity. C'mon wake up people!

COMMENT | I love the lyrics

It is absolutely "mainstream" metal. What makes it mainstraim, well for starters it the riffs and hooks and extremely catchy and not to mention the simple lyrics are in fact quite effective in conveying their point. Secondly, the album is mixed to perfection and the put on an excellent show. I just saw Lamb of God and Gwar and I have seen a multitude of other bands (Cradle to the Grave, Chimaira, Rotten Christ) in the last six months and to be quite honest, 5FDP was the best show of them all. So cry all you whine little bitches who get on here and post on a band that you "must not like". Geez.

ZOMG! They're like, popular and stuff! I used to think they were great, until everyone else started liking them too! I can't be perceived to like "mainstream" metal, I'll lose my street-cred, yo! Now I got a find a band that sucks and isn't signed because they suck, but since nobody else knows who they are, I'll be cool for liking it! ZOMG, I'm like, so smart!

All you so-called "haters" are the biggest fucking posers ever in the existence of metal.

I rather listen to that than shitty meshuggah or what you old men on here like to listen too... POISON or RATT.
