OVERKILL Signs U.S. Deal With E1 MUSIC; 25th-Anniversary Concert Planned - Nov. 2, 2009
New Jersey thrash metal veterans OVERKILL have inked a U.S. deal with E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records) for the release of their new album, "Ironbound". The CD, which will be issued in Europe on January 29, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records, was mixed by PAIN/HYPOCRISY mainman Peter Tägtgren and is described in a press release as "a true thrasher-piece."

OVERKILL will tour in support of "Ironbound" beginning in February in Europe. South America dates will take place in March and a U.S. tour will kick off April 1 in Philadelphia and end on May 1 with a big 25th-anniversary show in New York City at the Nokia Theater. The band says, "We have lots of plans to make that a special celebration show for everyone. "

"Ironbound" track listing:

01. The Green And Black
02. Ironbound
03. Bring Me The Night
04. The Goal Is Your Soul
05. Give A Little
06. Endless War
07. The Head And Heart
08. In Vain
09. Killing For A Living
10. The SRC

* Limited digipak
* CD Jewelcase
* LP (180g vinyl) in gatefold
* LP (180g green vinyl) in gatefold (Nuclear Blast Mailorder exclusive)
* Strictly limited mailorder edition

On May 12, Megaforce Records reissued two classic OVERKILL albums on colored vinyl.

* "Feel The Fire" on red/orange marbled vinyl
* "Fuck You And Then Some" (first time on vinyl!!) which is a double LP set — one LP on regular black vinyl and the other on black/yellow marbled vinyl with a big fat middle finger etched into side D.

Both albums are limited to 500 hand-numbered copies

OVERKILL's second DVD, "Live at Wacken Open Air 2007", came out in February 2008 via Bodog Music. The 50-minute disc was shot during the band's headline set at the festival in front of an audience of 40,000, and features songs that span OVERKILL's 28-year career, including "Walk Through Fire" from the group's latest disc "Immortalis", "Rotten to the Core", "Elimination", "Fuck You", "In Union We Stand", "Necroshine", "Skull and Bones", "Old School" and "Wrecking Crew".

Can't wait for the new overkill album & US tour. One of the best live bands to ever take a stage IMO. They have wrecked all of our necks for 25+ years. That is a long time in the thrash metal world. Congrats to Bobby & DD and the rest of the guys \m/

Ive checked their website and no dates in North America yet. Does anyone have any idea whether there will be any shows in North Western Usa or Western Canada? If they are starting a North American tour in April and ending 30 days later im not to confident that I will get to see them out west.

Killer album cover! These guys have consistantly always been great. Criminally underrated band. Love to see Metallica take these guys out and give them some face time that they so richly deserve.

This is a band that has kept the faith through thick and thin.

I saw them back when I was a kid in '89 or '90 in Houston during their commercial peak. Great show. Great band.

I HEARD D.D. WAS WORKING ON MUSIC AWHILE BACK ON A NEW ALBUM. BUT THIS IS GREAT NEWS. I HAVE 11 OVERKILL CD'S IN MY COLLECTION. I HAVE MORE OVERKILL ALBUMS THAN ANY OTHER METAL BAND OUT THERE. BEEN A FAN SINCE 1988, AND I LOVE THESE GUYS STILL THE SAME. OVERKILL IS THE MOST UNDERRATED THRASH METAL BAND IN MUSIC HISTORY!

THRASH BAND OF ALL TIME!!! I'll say it until I'm dead. Underrated for sure! Blitz and D.D. continue to thrash and I don't see them stopping anytime soon and they still bring it live.

I can't F'n wait to hear the new tunes. The album cover kicks ass. As dose OVERKILL!!!

If they could make a record cross over The Years of the Decay and Horroscope with Bloodletting sprinkle over it, that would make my day. Love the band they never change there style and kept going ahead even thought so many changes in band members...very underated band, to bad Metallica would never take them and Testament on a tour, because i think they would get there thunder stolen real fast and they might have to work hard that night next to Overkill and Testament....

I can't wait to hear the new album! Still sore that I missed them on the last albums tour too.

These guys have been through more lineup changes,label changes,cancer,strokes,etc and still manage to release a album every other year or so. By far the most productive band of the 80's thrash scene. And it ain't quantity over quality either.

Metal legends Always a great live band also.

Getting back into Overkill recently and I'm never letting them go again (certainly not after watching that kick-ass documentary Rat Skates Born in the Basement)! These guys are one of the best thrash bands and one of the best metal bands of all time! I hope they have much better success in the future!

But for god sakes man... at least make up with Gustafson and Skates and have them come up on stage and play for the 25th anniversary! That would rule all hell!
