THEM CROOKED VULTURES officially kicked off its first North American tour on October 5 in Nashville. The group has been the subject of furious international buzz since making its official live debut on August 9 in Chicago.

FOO FIGHTERS drummer Taylor Hawkins told The Pulse of Radio he's heard the VULTURES' record and likes it. "It's really great," he said. "I'm really proud of Dave, and I think he's having a real blast not having to shake his booty at the front of the stage for a while, you know?"

THEM CROOKED VULTURES taped a performance for the Austin City Limits TV program on September 30.

Several short clips of both live and studio performances by the trio have already surfaced on YouTube.

I really shouldn't even be posting cause I truly don't care, but I have to say, just because two grunge dudes get a chance to jam with rock legend does not mean that they need to release it to the public.

This is just as bad as Chickenfoot.

if it didn't mention that Taylor Hawkins thinks "it's really great"...

I will reserve total judgement til it drops...but after 2 songs, i stand by my initial feeling that they should have gotten someone else to sing...

A lot of people are shitting themselves over this but I find it completely boring - like everything Homme has done since Kyuss.

Oh well.

sounds like a more "jammy" version of QOTSA.
KYUSS was great.. take a riff and build and build on it.

Well this seems like everthing else that JPJ gets involved with that I just can't get into. Diamanda Galas,Butthole Surfers, etc.

This is the only thing I have heard from them but I only made it through about half of the song. Just not my thing at all.

BUT at least he isn't ruining the legacy of Zep as they were trying to do by filling Plant's shoes with another.

i liked QOTSA about 10 years ago when they started but lost interest after the second album. I have no idea what the hell a foo fighter is?>

different strokes for different folks I guess!

Yeah, as I predicted, I like this stuff. I think JPJ is one the most talented musicians of all times, and it's great to see him rocking again.

And for the guy said that he hasn't heard something great from JPJ after Led Zep, check out his solo albums, they're brilliant.

To the dude that went to the Nashville show, I'm jealous, man! I couldn't go!

To the guy that said "This is just bad as Chickenfoot", you just proved how dumb you are! Both are amazing. Sorry you can't realize that.

why did this genius feel the need to comment on a band he doesn't like and also throw Chickenfoot in it? Some people have good taste and appreciate talent and others like a bunch of horsesh*t.
