WHITECHAPEL Guitarist Interviewed In Atlanta; Video Available - Nov. 3, 2009
Metal Mark of SkullsNBones.com conducted an interview with guitarist Alex Wade of Knoxville, Tennessee death metallers WHITECHAPEL before the band's October 29, 2009 concert in Atlanta, Georgia. Watch the six-minute chat below.

WHITECHAPEL's latest album, "This Is Exile", was released in July 2008 through Metal Blade Records. The CD was tracked by Jonny Fay (ex-guitarist of THE RED CHORD) of Backyard Studios in New Hampshire and was mixed by Zeuss, who has produced ION DISSONANCE, EMMURE, BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED, SHADOWS FALL and HATEBREED, among others. The cover artwork was handled by Colin Marks, who has previously worked with ABORTED, THE END, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and THE RED DEATH). "He [did] a phenomenal job and we are extremely pleased with the outcome of his work," the band previously stated. "He has done a wonderful job of portraying the concept of the record through his artwork."

WHITECHAPEL's debut album, "The Somatic Defilement", was released in 2007 via Candlelight Records.

My name is in no relation to the band "Your Demise", when I created this name I was unaware there was a band out there 'Your Demise', and they're metalcore or deathcore or something too right? hahahaha. Looks like I need a name change :-X

Just let me get this straight--some fuck up there is giving Whitechapel shit(and that's cool) but then he mentions a band(August Burns Red) that got their name from some chick who set her ex's dog on fire--pretty dramatic if you ask me--I mean, don't get me wrong, I like ABR's work, but Whitechapel has much more of an impact

Mall Core? So, in England would we call this 'town centre core'? cause thats where we would go to buy the cd, in the shop with the sales assistant with the red hair and tattoos that happens to be wearing a whitechapel tshirt, cause they happen to like whitechapel?

I'm aware of the rediculous depths of subgenres (partucularly in america), most of which are quite subjective, but Mall Core?
