AC/DC Are Australia's Richest Entertainers - Nov. 4, 2009

The Age reports that legendary rockers AC/DC have topped this year's list of Australia's richest entertainers, according to Australian business magazine BRW.

The band dislodged the WIGGLES from the No. 1 spot in the 2009 BRW Top 50 Entertainers list, with revenue of AUD $105 million (approximately USD $95 million) — a nine-fold increase on the previous year.

"They've always been steady on the list but have come from $12 million last year to $105 million this year, blowing everyone out of the water," said BRW reporter Jane Lindhe.

Lindhe said the band's strategy of selling tickets for no more than $US150 for their current tour has benefited sales worldwide.

	Buls*it, They played that Money Made song for like every day for a long time, they also did a 60 minutes presentation and every now and then they end up on 20 to 1, and documentaries on them and stuff.... the radio plays there stuff if u listen to the right stations...

	you are right! 'Black Ice' was their most critically acclaimed album in 20 years, and it sold really well, but i didn't hear jack shit about it in Australia. real shame. then again, our media is lame!!!
