SKELETONWITCH will bring its brand of "blackened thrash" to New York City's acclaimed
"Blackened Music Series" on November 14. The show will take place at Brooklyn's Union Pool and will also feature
Relapse's
BLACK ANVIL and is part of "The Blackened Weekend," which will also feature appearances from
RWAKE,
KRALLICE,
SHRINEBUILDER and more. Previous installments in the series have featured the likes of
REPULSION,
PIG DESTROYER,
BRUTAL TRUTH,
EARTH and
PELICAN.

This show falls the day after the band wraps up two months of touring the U.S. supporting
CHILDREN OF BODOM, then
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. The group will then head to Europe for a co-headlining tour with old friends
TOXIC HOLOCAUST and
GOATWHORE.
"Breathing the Fire", the new album from
SKELETONWITCH, sold around 3,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 151 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Breathing the Fire" was released on October 13 via
Prosthetic Records. The CD's cover artwork was designed by
Andrei Bouzikov, who has previously worked with
MUNICIPAL WASTE and many others.
