KISS Featured On CNN; Video Available

Video footage of legendary rockers KISS showing their support for wounded warriors and reflecting on their 35-year-career with CNN's Naamua Delaney can be viewed below. Guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley says that he feels no shame in KISS being lumped in with other vintage, or classic rock acts — in fact, the band is thrilled with the fact that they're now spanning there different generations with their music and bombastic live shows. Stanley, who's out on the road with KISS in support of their first album in a decade, called "Sonic Boom", told Metal Hammer magazine, "I'm proud to be in the category of classic rock bands — what's better than the word 'classic?' Are you kidding? If you want to call LED ZEPPELIN a classic rock band and then you want to call us a classic rock band, I'm not fighting. If I'm going to be lumped in with anybody, let me be lumped in with my heroes. That doesn't preclude you from being current. It means that you have a solid history and a foundation, which most bands will never achieve because they won't survive that long."

That is complete bullshit.
It is totally legitimate to be against the U.S. government's bipartisan obsession with counterproductive and overly-expensive military adventurism, while at the same time showing support and giving comfort to the brave men and women who actually suffer the consequences of those ill-advised policies.
But then again, if you're just a Fox News/Limbaugh automaton, I might as well be speaking to a wall.

Tom Morello only shows ignorance.
As for political parties, I have states many times that I am an Independent, who believes Republicans and Democrats (like you) are what the true downfall is to American society. Argue with me about politcs, and you will lose. Independents crush all. Ignorant conservatives and contradiciting liberals will all fade away soon.

Stanley Eisen, stop trying to put you and your crappy circus-act band in the same company as Led Zeppelin. KI$$ couldn't wash Zeppelin's road cases! The only things KI$$ and Zeppelin had in common were that they both peaked in the 70's and haven't done anything musically viable since!

And furthermore, where is your proof that I'm a Democrat? I used the word "bipartisan" to describe the U.S.'s seemingly-permanent culture of perpetual war. Obama will not extricate us from either of our entanglements regardless of how counterproductive and costly they prove to be.
And just to pre-empt you, I didn't call you a "Fox News/Limbaugh automaton"...I simply said "IF" you were.
And yes, I agree that Perot would have been a spirited choice in '92.

scab kiss doing their thing in 2009/2010 aint a bad thing for the health and power of hard rock/metal. matter of fact im going to see scab kiss in oakland in a few weeks gonna be fun lots of brews and purple. the 1st time i saw kiss was easter 1983 in San Francisco @ the civic center with Motley Crue opening...now that was a bad ass show !!

I've not time to make my syntax witty, so I'll just state the points:

Tom Morello has stated GITMO is horrible and that we should stop the "torture" upon our suspects. Yet, he would like to see George W. Bush be tormented. A little contradicting if you ask me. I thought this guy was about peace. Tom Morello was also against the wars of Afghanistan and Iraq. Let me tell you this: Our soldiers work their asses off in Iraq, so ignorant people like Morello can make those kind of comments. If people bothered to research Iraq (not attacking you), they would find that Suddam was a terrorist and injecting baneful substances upon his own citizens. We had to do something. But we should of stopped after we caught him. I didn't like how we ended up in Iraq. We lose thousands of soldiers a day to car bomb attacks. As far as Afghanistan, they and Pakistan were what essentially caused 9/11. Tom Morello has stated he does not support the war on terror. What were we going to do if we didn't fight back And BTW, just because I used the words GEORGE W. BUSH DOES NOT IMPLY THAT I SUPPORT HIM. Ralph Nader was the man for the job in 2008. He was more qualified then Mccain, Palin, Biden, and Obama put together.
2. And furthermore, where is your proof that I'm a Democrat?

Scab KISS or whatever people in '09 wish to refer to the band as, is still more cool than not performing or touring at all........ I think the band in 2009 is looking and playing rather well, and they deserve all the praise they are getting............ "Sonic Boom" is a great disc for 2009 and the current line-up suits me fine right now.......... However, of course I'd prefer Ace back in the lead guitarist role....... Peter Criss is my man, but he's also old and arthritic......... Eric Singer is fine behind the skins kit...... Peace........

And seriously...how can you be a NADER supporter and then slam Tom Morello? Morello has actively campaigned for Nader multiple times, and slammed Gore as just another status-quo sellout.
I'm not a Morello supporter but to claim that he would piss on our soldiers is pure ignorance. And how can you support Nader when he is likewise vehemently opposed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
So you support the war in Iraq because Saddam was bad to his people? Do you know how many dictators have brutalized their own people under the supportive eye of the U.S.?
Saddam gassed his own people and the Iranians with the tacit approval of the U.S. government because Iran was deemed to be the greater of two evils.
The fact is that Saddam was one of our stooges in the Middle East until he became a mad dog and got off his leash.
Do you support invading every nation where human rights are violated? That would bankrupt this country in a matter of months.
As awful as 9/11 was, a war paradigm was flawed from the start. One cannot declare war on a tactic (terrorism)...what was required was diligent international police work and intelligence coordination, not a bogus war declaration on a state-less enemy.

-Funny you say that, because he didnt help out Ralph in the 2008 election. He instead, jumped on board with the bandwagon and voted Obama. He said Obama is America's last hope. PFT. I attack Fox News because it's a blatant, bald-faced propaganda machine that spews misinformation continuously.
I hate the corporate media in general (CNN and MSNBC are only marginally more tolerable) but Fox is by far the most egregious offender...not that I watch TV anymore, since I unsubscribed to cable.
Slamming those idiots has nothing to do with my political affiliation, which is Independent, for the record.

First off, who cares what Tom Morello thinks about anything. If it wasn't for our troops and our military, this country would not be the great nation it is. Fact. Second, Kiss has continued to support the troops and despite what any of you haters say, they have done more to show their patriotism than almost any other band. Fuck Tom, Bono, Eddie Veddar, and all the other "activists". PS-Tom is a fan of Kiss and Paul Stanley.
