Original ADEMA Lineup To Play First Show In Over Five Years

The original lineup of the Bakersfield, California rock band ADEMA — Marky Chavez (vocals), David Deroo (bass), Tim Fluckey (guitar), Mike Ransom (guitar), and Kris Kohls (drums) — will play its first live show in over five years on January 14, 2010 at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California. Also on the bill will be THE PAIN, featuring members of DOWNSET, MANHOLE, TURA SATANA and DRUNK WITH POWER.
ADEMA is currently putting together its first-ever DVD, due early next year. The set will contain material from the group's original lineup and will feature "tons of hard-to-find, rare and never-before-seen footage, including videos, live and rehearsal footage, TV appearances, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of [the albums] 'Adema' [2001] and 'Unstable' [2003]." The band adds, "We're not sure EXACTLY what will be on it as we are working on clearances, etc., but expect it to be nothing short of awesome."
ADEMA's latest album, "Kill the Headlights", was released in August 2007 via Immortal Records. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Marshall Altman (MARC BROUSSARD, ZEBRAHEAD). Mastering duties were handled by Eddie Schreyer at Oasis Mastering in Burbank.
ADEMA in 2006 announced the addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves of the Los Angeles-based band LEVEL to the group's ranks. Reeves joined ADEMA as the replacement for Luke Caraccioli, who left the band in October 2005 — only six months after the release of their first album ("Planets") without the contributions of Chavez.

You know what? I care. This band's music is pretentious and uninspired, and it's terrible. That's a judgment call, but I'm making it. They're getting all this attention when a GOOD band somewhere is going unnoticed. I was happy when this band disappeared for a while. Now they're coming back, probably cuz for the money, but who cares. They're back, and it sucks. Hooray for nepotism!

Thats a great point you just made, and it has changed my mind NONE. This band sucks. Limp Bizkit sucks. Creed sucks. But I bet when these three bands go on tour together (it'll probably happen), it will line a lot of pockets with money and coke. Throw Nickelback on that tour, and you've got yourself something really special. God bless America.

These bands are bad for America, nay, the world, because they offer little to no substance. Adema got big off the "i hate my Dad" nu-metal fad, LB is just belligerent jock rock with no melody, and Creed tries to be inspirational through self indulgence. If you like this stuff, great. I'm happy for you. But if that's the case, you like music that sucks. No shame in that, its just what you like, and that's okay. I don't judge the fans, I judge the crappy music.
You make an insanely great point about dissing other bands. Normally I'd agree with you. But this is Adema we're talking about! They suck!
And sure LB and Creed have fans. That's great. Those fans like shitty music, and that is a scientific fact. Ask any scientist! All these bands combine to subliminally taint our collective unconscious.
I take the time to express my dislike for a band because it IS something I care about. So there. If you don't like it, don't read it.

Their first album was one of the best from the 'nu-metal' genre. The ignorance of most Blabbermouth users is astonishing. If it's not some little known, obscure black metal band they suck. Ridiculous.
