Kulick's third solo album,
"BK3", which follows 2001's
"Audio Dog" and 2003's
"Transformer", was mastered on July 16 at
Precision Mastering in Hollywood, California. An official release date has not yet been announced.
"BK3" features guest appearances by legendary vocalist
Doug Fieger (
THE KNACK),
Tobias Sammet (
EDGUY,
AVANTASIA),
Nick Simmons (
Gene Simmons' son), and former
KISS cohorts
Gene Simmons (singing lead vocals on a track co-written with
Kulick called
"Ain't Gonna Die") and
Eric Singer (who contributed drums on the track vocalized by
Sammet). It also includes the three songs that were featured on the limited-edition EP that was created especially for
Kulick's last Australian guitar clinic tour, which took him to four cities during his brief one-week visit. Included on the disc were
"No Friend of Mine" featuring guest vocalist
John Corabi (
MÖTLEY CRÜE,
UNION,
RATT,
ESP),
"And I Know" (featuring
Kulick on vocals), and the instrumental track
"Between The Lines" featuring a musical "supergroup" comprised of drummer
Kenny Aronoff, bassist
Jimmy Haslip, and the dual guitar attack of
Kulick and
Steve Lukather.
AM CONSPIRACY's self-titled debut album will be released on January 12, 2010 via
Burnhill Union Records (a newly launched independent label from Chicago). A song from the CD,
"Pictures", is available for streaming at
this location. The track was mixed by
Randy Staub, who has previously worked with
METALLICA,
NICKELBACK and
ALICE IN CHAINS, among others.
"AM Conspiracy" was recorded earlier thie year at
Belle City Sound studio in Racine, Wisconsin with producer
Chris Djuricic (
NOVEMBERS DOOM bassist).
Jones recently told
AOL's
Noisecreep about
AM CONSPIRACY's upcoming CD, "It's 13 songs, all very different from each other. We try to mix it up and keep it going. We did it because a lot of records that have been coming out lately, in my opinion, sound like one long song. We try to steer away from that as far as possible. So it's got a good mixture of different emotions that hopefully it'll take people through. It has different kinds of music. Some stuff's real heavy. Some stuff's pretty light."
AM CONSPIRACY was recently rejoined by guitarist
Rob DeHaven.
The band's lineup features core members
Jones,
Kenny Harrelson (bass) and
Dean Andrews (drums) alongside guitarist
Drew Burke.
In early 2007,
AM CONSPIRACY signed with
Corporate Punishment Records and began work on its first release with
Rae DiLeo (
FILTER,
ARMY OF ANYONE). Shortly after signing, the band parted ways with the label and released a four-song EP entitled
"Out of the Shallow End". Two of the tracks off the EP (
"Absence" and
"Far") were featured in regular rotation on
XM Radio's
SquiZZ, Europe's
Kerrang!, and various FM stations across the U.S.
"Right On Time" (another track off the EP) and
"Welt" (previously unreleased) were part of the
"WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008" soundtrack.
