SLAYER Interviewed On 'Uranium'; Clip Available - Nov. 11, 2009
"Uranium", which is exclusively available on Fuse On Demand, recently conducted an interview with veteran thrashers SLAYER.

The full interview is available all November long only on Fuse on Demand.

Watch a clip of the episode below.

SLAYER's new album, "World Painted Blood", sold 41,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 12 on The Billboard 200 chart.

SLAYER's last CD, "Christ Illusion", opened with more than 62,000 units to debut at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart. This was the highest position ever on the chart for SLAYER, who previously reached No. 8 with their 1994 release "Divine Intervention" after moving 93,000 copies of that album in its first week.

SLAYER's 2001 album, "God Hates Us All", registered a first-week tally of 51,000 to land at No. 28, while 1998's "Diabolus In Musica" opened with 46,000 units, debuting at No. 31.

"God Hates Us All" has sold 319,000 copies and its predecessor, "Diabolus In Musica", has moved 306,000 copies so far. Several of the earlier SLAYER albums have been certified gold for sales in excess of 500,000 copies in the United States, including "Divine Intervention".

New record is one of their best imo. Not a bad tune on it at all.

And I like Slayer just as much as the next guys, but Kerry and Dave (mainly Kerry) need to stop wearing those sunglasses indoors, honestly.

WPB songs > WPB dull production

WPB is a fucking kickass album...I haven't stopped listening to it for two weeks. It's so much better than Christ Illusion and God Hates Us All that it isn't even funny.

That said, the mix is atrocious. Lombardo has laid down some of his most inspired drum tracks at least since Testament's The Gathering, and I can't hear some of the fills because they're so buried in the mix.

I do think Fidelman is a good producer and he clearly has a positive influence on the bands he works with, but the mixing/mastering needs to be improved dramatically. Not sure how much of a direct effect he has on this, as it's typically the engineer who does those duties.

Either way, it's the only disappointment on an otherwise masterful slab of thrash.

Good to see the boys are still fucking doing it. All you little fuckheads need to realize that Slayer IS the one thrash band that started it all and is still delivering it every album, every tour. Now go home and get rid of your drop tuning and tune your guitars to E flat and learn some real riffs.
