ALICE IN CHAINS Members Talk About Entertaining Wounded Warriors - Nov. 14, 2009
Staff Sgt. Josh Hauser of Pentagon Channel's "Command Performance" conducted an interview with ALICE IN CHAINS on September 4, 2009 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The bandmembers talked about entertaining wounded warriors and the Vietnam War influence of one of their songs. Watch the chat below.

"Project Runway" season three model Amanda Fields is featured in the new video from ALICE IN CHAINS, "Your Decision", which was recently filmed in a "giant house" between Santa Monica and Malibu off the Pacific Coast Highway in California. The clip is being directed by Stephen Schuster, who previously worked with ALICE IN CHAINS on the "A Looking In View" video.

To coincide with the band's European tour, ALICE IN CHAINS will release the "Your Decision" single on November 16 in the U.K.

"Your Decision" is the second single to be lifted from band's first all-new album in 14 years, titled "Black Gives Way To Blue", which sold 126,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart (behind latest albums from PARAMORE, MARIAH CAREY, BARBRA STREISAND and BREAKING BENJAMIN).

ALICE IN CHAINS recruited pop legend Elton John to contribute piano to the CD's title track, which is written in tribute to Staley.

Singer William DuVall had played with his own group, COMES WITH THE FALL, as well as in Jerry Cantrell's solo band, before joining up with ALICE IN CHAINS in 2006.

"Black Gives Way to Blue" was recorded with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH) at the Northridge, California studio of FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl.

Army kills? It is unfortunate you are still breathing. Be glad you live in a country where you have free speech and are not executed for saying what you said. Then again, you should executed anyways for stupidity.

Dude your blind faith in any world government including the U.S. government is laughable.

Furthermore, all armed forces lure for the most part people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds into joining their cause with promises of things like attaining a free education.

Mind you a free education is a good thing, that is if you survive your time on the battlefield and don't become horribly handicapped or lose your mind due to post traumatic stress disorder.

Moreover, your execution remarks reveal a deep immaturity on your part.

Last, you can't actually think that you are free to speak on any subject in the United States without being noticed by some form of authority?

You, sir, are an idiot. I am probably one of the most anti-war American folks in existence and I abhor the war. Nevertheless, it is the fault of our inept politicians, not our military. Our soldiers, marines, airmen, and sailors are the ones who have given us the right to say what we want and to live the way we want. Even in Canada (gorgeous country, by the way) most great Canadians would agree that it is their soldiers who have helped secure the wonderful life you all have. You would be crying for your soldiers to "kill" if the enemy was at your door.

I have to agree with you there. Two words: political correctness. This great cancer is the new communism and big brother rolled into one. Say the wrong thing and your career is over. It tramples on our beloved Constitution. I believe, however, that the pendulum will eventually swing back in the opposite direction.

It's one thing to espouse an opinion but another thing to get slanderous. Rule of Thumper's Mom, here, guys, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Expound this with my personal opinion of, "If you have to say something mean, at least be intelligent and fair about it."

Reading these comments makes me mad because they seem hateful for the sake of being hateful. Grow up, children.

1. AiC has a new singer. If you don't like William, don't buy the album. The math does itself. AiC won't be around anymore if people don't like them. I don't like Nickelback but I don't go onto their forums to enunciate my hatred for them.

2. Even if you don't agree with the Army (and I am against needless wars, myself) at least respect them enough to give them credit for what they do. Just because you don't like picking up piles of shit doesn't mean you have to insult the janitor for what they do. It's their job.

These forums in recent months have been horrible to surf thanks to idiot trolls making them as such.
