SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT: First 'American Carnage' Dates Released
- Nov. 16, 2009
|
|
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on November 6 (before it was falsely denied by MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover), SLAYER, MEGADETH and TESTAMENT will team up for a U.S. tour, dubbed "American Carnage", in January/February 2010. So far the following dates have been released: Jan. 21 - Cow Palace - Daly City, CA Jan. 31 - Municipal Auditorium - Nashville, TN Feb. 04 - Roy Wilkins Auditorium at St. Paul RiverCentre - St. Paul, MN More shows will be announced soon. SLAYER, MEGADETH and TESTAMENT will also take part in the rescheduled "Canadian Carnage" dates between February 16 and February 23. The trek, which was originally due to begin on November 8, was called off after SLAYER frontman Tom Araya was ordered to undergo an immediate surgical procedure for a back injury, thought to be related to his on-stage activity. SLAYER was also forced to postpone its previously announced European tour that had been set to kick off on November 18 in the U.K. Araya has been under the care of a specialist, and while he has already made substantial improvement, he is continuing on with doctor-prescribed treatment. The tour has been rescheduled to kick off on March 7 in Manchester, England. MEGADETH kicked off a U.S. tour with MACHINE HEAD and SUICIDE SILENCE on November 14 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

@ dimmudemigod...idk what Testament's problem is with FL, all I know is every tour they're on passes us by, and this one is no exception.
@sonic the girl...I wish! thanks, but travel just isn't in the budget at the moment, otherwise I would have done the MH headliner!

Please, PLEASE. "trash" means "garbage", "rubbish", "junk", "shit I'm throwing out". Slayer is THrash metal. "th" in English is a sound created by putting your tongue between your teeth. In "teeth", as in "thrash", it is voiceless /?/. In, for example, "they" or word-final as in "breathe", it is voiced /ð/. THrash metal. /??æ?/.

it's pronounced, TEETH.
TestAmenT is probably going to be opening the show, when you know they have the most talent and best band in the area. check out youtube for the live video for, "More Than Meets The Eye" Jam. Peterson, Skolnik, Billy, Bostaph?, Christian. Come on, now, Megadeth should open for them esp. if you're talking about a greatest hits set, which Megadeth basically plays. 15 songs, song/song, TestAmenT blows those guys away. I don't have the other band, Slyr's Lp.; I wonder if it is anywhere as good as The Formation of Damnation (TestAmenT '08). 5star LP, indeed. Hey, I could go and leave after TestAmenT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watered down? What the fuck, it isn't a drink, it's a fucking concert. Who gives a fuck who else in the crowd, you're not there to hold hands a sing-a-long, you're there to bang your fucking head to some classic metal. That's the most retarded, elitist bullshit I've read on here yet. Get the fuck over yourself.
As for this Hot Topic crown shit everyone complains about, there's really no distinction because in truthl all you teenagers are fucking annoying whether you're part of that crowd or not. You can't be escaped but you can be ignored.

They're playing the Tsongas Arena in Lowell early February. For some reason Blabbermouth didn't post up the full list of dates that have been confirmed. www.lambgoat.com has 3 times as many dates posted up.

As others have said, I'd rather see this than a big 4 tour. Having Metallica on the bill would have just jacked the ticket prices up and I could care less about Anthrax. Testament I've always dug, so it's all good.

Hell yeah, I'm so there. Ever since Skolnick rejoined Testament, they've been firing on all cylinders since, and kicking everyone elses ass. I kind of expect this to be a 'competetive' show, I think these bands are going to try to out do each other performance wise at every show, which will be so sweet for the audiences.

So you'll go to East Rutherford NJ for a Jets or Giants game, but not a Slayer/Megadeth/Testament? Dorks. Go listen to Jay-Z.
