OTEP's 'Smash' Chosen As Theme For TNA Wrestling's 'Final Resolution' Pay-Per-View Event - Nov. 16, 2009
TNA Wrestling has teamed up with Victory Records' own OTEP for the highly anticipated "Final Resolution" pay-per-view special. OTEP's single "Smash The Control Machine" will be featured as the theme music for this event, broadcasting Sunday, December 20 live and exclusively on pay-per-view from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

"Final Resolution" will feature TNA Wresting favorites such as AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Mick Foley, Marr Morgan, Team 3D, and many others, along with a "Feast or Fired" match where someone from TNA Wresting will be fired.

You can view the exclusive "Smash The Control Machine: Final Resolution Official Theme" video below.

OTEP's new album, "Smash The Control Machine", sold around 10,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 47 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on August 18 via Victory Records.

The "Smash The Control Machine" deluxe CD/DVD package includes:

* DVD includes interviews, poetry readings and more
*CD/DVD deluxe edition includes: holographic cover, digipack, 52-page booklet with lyrics, poems and illustrations from Otep Shamaya

OTEP frontwoman Otep Shamaya previously said of the album, "The economic crisis is hitting every working family in this country. The album and its title track, 'Smash The Control Machine', will lay bare the greed and corruption that fostered this calamity, but will also focus on the undying spirit of the working class that always fights the good fight. The title is a line from a William S. Burroughs poem. It is my intention to create an album that serves every head of the hydra that is OTEP. From poetry, to politics, to shock and awe, to sex and righteousness, to standing up and fighting back. Like the mystical symbol of the Ouroboros (the sacred serpent swallowing its tail) all things will be brought back to circle."

Using OTEP's awesome tune might just the last thing interesting thing TNA does before the Hulk Hogan/Eris Bischoff machine comes in and ruins the entire league.

Horns up for OTEP though!!!

To commemorate this event can I suggest a match between Otep Shamaya and Kate Perry?
