SLASH On 'Lopez Tonight'; Video Available - Nov. 17, 2009
Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) was a guest on the Monday, November 16, 2009 edition of "Lopez Tonight", comedian George Lopez's new talk show on TBS. The show, which premiered on November 9, features audience interaction using a high-energy format. The program airs Monday through Thursday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern/8:00 p.m. Pacific in the United States.

Watch video footage of Slash's appearance on "Lopez Tonight" below.

As previously reported, Slash will perform a song off his upcoming self-titled solo album with WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale at a benefit concert on November 22 at the Avalon in Hollywood, California. The show, billed "Slash & Friends", will be a fundraiser for the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) is a non-profit organization providing services to homeless and runaway youth. Also scheduled to appear are Ozzy Osbourne, Chester Bennington (LINKIN PARK), Tom Morello (AUDIOSLAVE, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE), Dave Navarro (JANE'S ADDICTION) and Billy Idol, among others.

LAYN's mission is to help abused, neglected and homeless adolescents become self-sufficient. They do this by providing street outreach, food, emergency shelter and transitional living programs, with a professional, caring staff in a nurturing and safe environment.

Yes Slash should learn from a guy whos style is COMPLETLY DIFFERENT from Slash. Yes lets compare a guy who just shreds to a guy who is more soulful on guitar. ones metal player and well ones more jazzier i would say? and obviously you dont know your music but you would know these guys are friends in real life and Zakk was almost a member of guns n roses after they released Gilby Clark.

Jeez that other guitarist should have shown a bit more class and given Slash some breathing room instead of wanking all over the place.. You're in the presence of a legend dude, let him do his thing, that's what the audience is trying to hear.. Just a barrage of cliched licks played in sort of a classless non-stop way.. It would have been so much better if they would have taken turns soloing

I think the other guy saw that as his one moment to shine, and didn't give Slash any chance to Rebuttle. Slash gave him a solo, he gave Slash a small time, then just went off in a poor man's Jeff Beck sort of way...2 different styles....for cryin' out loud, its JIMI Hendrix, not Jimmy.

I noticed Slash didn't nod or high five the guy, I'm sure he was thinking "what a douche".

there are many guitar heroes, but the few thats realy left and are doing anything are Slash, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt, Dave Navarro, Steve Vai, John Petrucci and some others. but of course Jimmy Page, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Joe Perry and more will always be guitar heroes.
