I agree with Jaysus fuck what other people think like the bands you like when you are 30 no one around you gives a shit what band you like or dislike that is one of the big reality checks of being and adult and being kid. When you are an adult other adults could really care less what band you rock out to but either way fuck them and jam what you want. I like Shinedown all three albums are great! I like a lot of non metal shit too but have been a proud metal supporter for over 20 years now with no plans to stop!

COMMENT | It's just a turn of phrase don't be so litteral.....

Because I described Shinedown as a guilty pleasure it doesn't mean I'm ashamed to admit liking the band, which by it's very nature the term implies!

It's also not an indication of maturity, immaturity, age or how cool your friends are or aren't for that matter.

Supporting metal since 1984.

that Shinedown are too good a band to be considered a guilty pleasure. Best straight ahead hard rock band to come out since Soundgarden and AIC. To me, The Outfield is a guilty pleasure. Lordi is a guilty pleasure. Shinedown is flat out a great band and in my mind are the only band truely carrying the torch for rock 'n roll right now.
