Live KISS Concert To Stream On FACEBOOK - Nov. 19, 2009
Bud Light Golden Wheat presents the legendary rockers KISS on Facebook via a Ustream streaming link live from their show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. PST on Wednesday, November 25. This is the first-ever live web concert for one of rock's most iconic bands as KISS celebrates the November 19 release of their new, three-track "Guitar Hero" pack featuring "Modern Day Delilah", "I Was Made for Loving You" and "Lick It Up".

Users can watch and interact by visiting the official KISS Facebook page at facebook.com/KISS or on Ustream at www.ustream.tv/channel/kiss-live to connect with other KISS fans for a personal chat and live video experience in real-time during the show. Users who own an Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft can click the "Guitar Hero" banner at the bottom of the screen and go directly to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Xbox.com to purchase the KISS three-song track pack and queue it up for download to their Xbox 360 console. PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and Wii owners can purchase the track pack through the in-game music store in either "Guitar Hero 5" or "Band Hero".

KISS chose Ustream, the leading live video platform on the web, because of its powerful platform and scalability in reaching a global audience of unlimited size. The band wanted to connect with their legion of fans that might not have had the chance to catch them during the North American leg of their 35th-anniversary KISS Alive 35 tour, a 44-city tour that continues through December 15.

"For 35 years, KISS has rocked all over the world to sold-out crowds and set the standard for what a rock show should be. This tour will solidify our place in history for having the loudest, most entertaining and hardest rockin' show in all of music," said Gene Simmons.

The iconic band recently made KISStory when "Sonic Boom", their first album in 11 years, debuted in the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200. This was the highest-ever album debut for the legendary band. Frontman Paul Stanley produced the new album that marks a return to their signature '70s sound.

In creating "Sonic Boom", the band also wanted to give back by putting together a value-added release that offers three CDs for the price of one. The release includes "Sonic Boom", their centerpiece of new material including their single "Modern Day Delilah", a second disk of re-mastered KISS classics such as "Rock and Roll All Nite" and "Detroit Rock City", and a third, live disk from their show in Argentina earlier this year.

Anheuser-Busch's newest beer brand, Bud Light Golden Wheat, is the exclusive sponsor of the online concert. The sponsorship is part of the overall launch campaign for Bud Light Golden Wheat that hit store shelves nationwide on October 5.

If I remember correctly Pepsi sponsored the webcast. Portions of the show were also broadcast on FOX.

i bought a ticket to see kiss at cobo hall in detroit because i heard that was going to be the last show there ever before they tear it down. i had never seen a show there and because of it's musical history, i had to see just one show there. well, i agree with skulleyes completely...it was horrible. same setlist they've played for years now, same tricks, same explosions and pyro, same, same, same.....
watching two fat old guys in kabuki makeup was just uncomfortable. and to make matters worse, i now see that Phish is playing at cobo, so i sat through that warm-pile-of-dog-shit-of-a-show that kiss put on for nothing.

I agree with the poster above who compared bud wheat to dirty water...I actually threw away 5 out of a six pack that I had to buy because the dump I stopped had only had bud wheat in bottles....and I prefer bottles...I don't throw away beer...but this swill has convinced me that bud cannot make a drinkable beer.....Shiner makes an awesome wheat beer (Hefeiweizen) if you can get it serve in a glass rather than in the bottle it really makes a difference..! Cheers!

KISS is STILL waaaaay better than 99.99% of the shit out there. NO ONE CAN touch them live in there late 50's and 60!!! ANd dont even dring back the 70's heydey.... They destroyed everyone is their prime.... and I mean everyone live..... ZEP, Sabbath, etc.... KISS is the best. so underrated as a band.. The songs stand the test of time....

Its a sad state of new music today.... Everyone sux!! Unfortuntely I clicked on the American music awards, and that was a travesty.

On the setlist, we would hear the same shit if they didnt play the classics. Everyone would say:

" Wow, KISS is ripping off the fans this tour> They arent playing Detroit Rock City, RNR All Nite, Love gun, Deuce, etc.. What a scam...

ITs gettin old people.....

KISS rules!!! As always... KISS at there worst is better than most live bands.

KISS!!!!

hey, yermama - don't listen to bognerboy. a ramones tattoo would be pretty cool. certainly cooler than a kiss one! what did you get, that cartoon version of the band? or the gabba gabba thing?

No worries, Haymaker! Guys like boogerboy don't bother me. He's a one-note-pony anyways, the only thing he ever posts is about band's top-40 hits, which everyone knows means zero anyways. He must be a big Milli Vanilli fan! He talks about people liking Culture Club, but is just some second-rate guitar hack who writes tv jingles that no one will ever hear or remember. At least my band plays our own music, gets paid for gigs, and is going somewhere! I seriously doubt he teaches at any university. Take a look at the spelling!^^^

My tattoo is actually Joey Ramones' autograph. I met him years back and he signed my arm, so I had it inked. It's actually pretty well hidden now, because I've had so many other tattoes added since then. But people still notice it and think it's cool that he signed for me. From what I hear, he was always pretty reluctant to sign autographs. It's weird that you mentioned the "GABBA GABBA HEY" thing, because I actually was considering that right before I met Joey and he signed my arm! My bass player has the Ramones logo that looks like the President's seal on his back.

i wouldn't give anything to this guy! look how he keeps cheap-shotting you with ramones comments. it would be funny if he knew who you were!

kiss changed their style so many times to suit whatever was in style at the time - they went disco/pop in the late 70's, they went hair/metal in the 80's, they tried to go grunge with COS in the 90's. all of these styles paled in comparison to their original rock punch.

but disco kiss was the absolute worst! kiss were suppose to be this bad-ass rock and roll band and here they were prancing around the stage singing pop songs like shandi and iwmfly. then, the five-year-olds started loving kiss and they were no longer considered a legitimate rock and roll band.

Looks like boogerboy is about as good at math as he is at spelling. Yes, I was around in the 70's in NYC when KISS was huge - except I was five! So I'm not in my forties yet.

I wouldn't share any of my band's music with you (if he only knew, eh Haymaker?) Haymaker is right - you're nothing but a cheap shot artist! But my band will actually be playing dates down under in the new year. Come on out and see us in Syndey, if you're not too busy teaching university classes and writing big-money jingles! Maybe you can join us on stage and play some of your commercial jingles so we can all be really impressed.

Funny, I've never heard that term, but I know what you're talking about. Actually, I did enjoy the "Dynasty - Unmasked" era music, but I just didn't think it was great KISS music. It was so obvious that they were "selling out", even at the time. But don't forget, the Stones dabled in disco. So did a lot of credible "rock" acts at the time.

Ironically, it was actually bands like the Ramones (sorry, bognerboy, it's true) and the Sex Pistols that put the nails in the coffin of the disco period. And thank God! Rock and roll needed a shot of adrenaline, and it got one called "punk". Look at where KISS went from their disco/pop era - right into "Creatures of the Night", which was hard and all rock and roll! Where the BeeGees were the influence for "disco KISS", punk was the influence for Creatures!

rules are
never give ur identity to anyone :)
but i insist ladies first, so why dont you go first :)
ill give you some info but nothing so u cant find who i am
i teach at a tafe/uni west of sydney, small compared to most but it deals in specialized courses..i teach 2 to 3 days a week because class sizes vary, and i been teaching there for 3 years !!

secondly i do jingles in spare time..for every 20 i write mabye one sells, i got into it by chance and luck...
some of my work is
" o what a feeling toyota " i wrote the guitar parts for it
also there is a electrical chain called " good guys " and i wrote the theme song which is based around beach boys good vibrations...
also i had a hand in writing the current theme song for a tv show called " home and away" which has been on air for 20 years in oz..
apart from that i do alot of session work, i have performed on australian idol and worked the sound desk also...and i worked with many local famous aussie solo acts like VANESSA AMEROSSI and similar artist
due to the fact that i am a teacher its important i keep who i am personal..
i dont play in original bands, just covers and work with professional artist..

now for someone like urself to BRAG he is this big famous thing and not say it, well sorry but ur digging a whole...i am not famous, but i work and im involved in the australian music industry..i have performed on 1 studio album, which was Ricky lee, former aussie idol star....

i have sold 13 or 14 jingles and my biggest was the good guys add which i receive royalties per playing...i will not tell you my name, that would be immature, and plus im not bragging about being in a famous band,,you are !!

so lets hear your band name and where u are playing in sydney..i dont want your name, just ur band !!!

Without a name, you can't prove anything. But you're right. You shouldn't give out your name on the site! But without doing that, neither one of us can prove anything.

Tafe isn't a university, it's a training school. It doesn't give out degrees. So you teach at what's known as a technical school, not a university.

Anyone can post a bunch of links to some ads on YouTube. I said you had to provide credentials, meaning your name on the writing credits. But if you can't reveal your name, there's no way to prove they're yours. But the same goes for me. I'll say this, if you did write the jingles, they weren't that bad.

Finally, I never said I was "famous". Another poster who knows me accidentally suggested that my band status might give me away. He has since agreed not to reveal any other personal information about me. What I can tell you is that I am 36-years-old (do the math, born in Dec. '72) and play in a real, touring band. We have been writing and recording our own music for a label since 1990. We are slotted to go to Australia in the new year, and I'm told a date will be played in Sydney. If I gave you the link to the band's website, you would immediately have my identity.

I can't prove anything any more than you can. There's no point in continuing a pissing contest. I don't believe you, you don't believe me. That's what's known as a stalemate "mate".
