ECHOTERRA, the new female-fronted symphonic rock/metal band featuring keyboardist
Jonah Weingarten (
PYRAMAZE), guitarist
Yan Leviathan (
AVIAN), bassist
Brian Hollenbeck, vocalist
Melissa Ferlaak (
VISIONS OF ATLANTIS) and drummer
Adam Sagan (
INTO ETERNITY), has unveiled the cover artwork for its new EP,
"In Your Eyes". According to the group, "This mini-album will feature [
ECHOTERRA's new singer]
Ferlaak on the three re-recorded songs from our debut CD:
'In Your Eyes',
'A Tear of Her Heart' and
'Say, Try, Lie, Die'. The EP will also feature an orchestral version of
'Bear Mountain', a song that will be featured on our next full-length album.
'The Echoterra Overture' will also be included. Release date will be in the spring of 2010."
The new version of the song
"In Your Eyes" is available for streaming on the band's
MySpace page.
ECHOTERRA recently parted ways with singer
Suvi Virtanen for the sole reason that she is located in Sweden while the rest of the band is located in the U.S., which makes it very difficult to perform live.
Adam joined
ECHOTERRA as the replacement for
John Gensmer, since
John is busy with his main band
EPICUREAN and will not have the time to dedicate to
ECHOTERRA.
ECHOTERRA's first show will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010 in St. Paul, Minnesota opening for
EPICA. More dates will be announced soon.
ECHOTERRA's debut album,
"The Law Of One", was released on September 15 via
Blinding Force Recordings.
