ICED EARTH Announces South American/Mexican Dates - Nov. 23, 2009
U.S. metallers ICED EARTH have scheduled the following South American/Mexican dates in January/February:

Jan. 30 - Monterrey, Mexico - Café Iguana
Feb. 02 - Mexico City, Mexico - Bulldog Café
Feb. 06 - São Paulo, Brazil - Via Funchal
Feb. 09 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - El Teatro Flores
Feb. 14 - Bogotá, Colombia - Teatro Metropol

More dates will be announced soon.

As previously reported, ICED EARTH has also been confirmed for next year's Hammerfest II festival, set to take place March 11-13, 2010 at Pontins, Prestatyn Sands, North Wales, United Kingdom.

ICED EARTH's most recent full-length studio album, "The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)", sold 6,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

"The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)" continues where ICED EARTH's 2007 release, "Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part I)" left off. "The Crucible of Man" features the return of frontman Matt Barlow who was mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer's original voice of choice to introduce the "Something Wicked" saga back in 1998 as a trio of songs which concluded their album, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

Fan-filmed video footage of ICED EARTH's February 21, 2009 concert at Boogaloo in Zagreb, Croatia can be viewed below.

probably because metal fans Latin America, Europe, India, and the Middle East are much more loyal to their favorite artists and they actually make money when they tour there

Matt Barlow must get some serious holiday time. I only get 31 days a year.

If I recall correctly Iced Earth did two U.S. legs on their tour last year. So I don't get why that's posted here. Now Manowar on the other hand is ridiculous with their so called world tours. They hit like only 5 festivals in Europe and that's a wrap.

Don't police officers deserve some benefits?

Jon should write stuff in the vein of Burnt Offerings and Horror Show. His riffing on the last three albums was rather bland.

Here in Brazil, we are having much more metal shows because the recetion didn't hit us as hard and our currency is very strong.

The loyalty of fans here is amazing, and our crowds kick some serious ass. But, unfortunatly, like everywhere the bussiness part of things is what matters here too.

So Brazilian metalheads: lets enjoy it while it lasts.

We need another killer IE album, I like ALL of the albums but I think Jon has lost a bit of focus, he needs to refresh and take some time off I think, which I guess he´ll do according to his latest statement.
