SACRIFICE Performs With Former MEGADETH Guitarist In Toronto; Video Available - Nov. 24, 2009
Footage of legendary Canadian thrashers SACRIFICE performing the song "Re-Animation" on November 21, 2009 at t The Opera House in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a special guest appearance by Glen Drover (MEGADETH, KING DIAMOND, EIDOLON), can be viewed below.

"The Ones I Condemn", the new album from SACRIFICE, will be released in Europe on January 22, 2010 via Cyclone Empire Records. The CD, which was made available in July via Brazil's Marquee Records, was recorded at Rouge Valley Studio in Toronto, Ontario with engineer Darius Szczepaniak, who has previously worked with I MOTHER EARTH, SUM 41 and EDWIN, among many others. Guest musicians on the album include Jed Simon (ZIMMERS HOLE, TENET, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, ARMOROS), who "[laid] down a total whammy-bar barrage," and the band's old Scarborough metal comrade Dave Hewson (SLAUGHTER, STRAPPADO), who lent some guest vocals to "The Devil's Martyr".

"The Ones I Condemn" track listing:

01. We Will Prevail
02. The Ones I Condemn
03. Give Me Justice
04. The Great Wall
05. Tetragrammaton
06. Atrocity
07. Hiroshima
08. The Devil's Martyr (feat. Jed Simon and Dave Hewson)
09. Ultimate Power Corrupts
10. Desolation Alive
11. Soldiers Of Misfortune (live 2007) *

* European bonus track

The Canadian version of "The Ones I Condemn", featuring an exclusive bonus track — a cover of RUSH's "Athem" — is available in the USA through Relapse, Metal Haven Chicago, The End Records and Century Media mailorders.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Rob Urbinati: "Our recording process was real, so we didn't feel comfortable going too far into the digital realm for the cover. Our old friend, Kurt Bachman from BELIEVER, got us in touch with Michael 'Roz' Rosner, who does nothing but absolutely stunning work. Roz was into letting technology assist in creating art, not take over, and that is the same approach we take to music. Roz can make an image look beautiful, yet ugly; human yet inhuman; all awesome, unique imagery. The Eye Level studio team took our ideas and gave us a great cover."

Amazing show! Band was killer and great time was had by all. Picked up the new album there and very solid. The new album is far from a cash grab as all the songs excellent, it's hard to get but well worth seeking out.

What a fantastic show!!! Sacrifice absolutely destroyed everything live.

If any of you are still in want of some more thrashing, Piledriver are playing a show at the Velvet Underground (510 Queen St W, near Queen/Bathurst) on Saturday, November 28. $10 at the door, 19+, Doors at 7pm, done by 11:30.

Why not?

Sacrifice was absolutely amazing live! I can respect their decision to not want to tour, or care of they make it big or not. They have always stayed true. Definitely worth the trip from NY to see them.. I hope they can play the states again..

COMMENT | Sacrifice are Canada's greatest band...
