SLIPKNOT: Quality Footage From SMOKEOUT Festival Posted Online - Nov. 24, 2009
Altitude has uploaded quality video footage of SLIPKNOT's October 24, 2009 performance at the 2009 SmokeOut festival at the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernadino, California. Watch the clip below.

The special-edition CD/DVD reissue of SLIPKNOT's self-titled debut album sold around 4,600 copies in the United States in its first, shortened week of release (the set came out on Wednesday, September 9 whereas new albums usually go on sale on Tuesdays in the U.S.). The album has now shifted more than two million units domestically, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The CD portion of the "Slipknot" reissue features 25 tracks, including the original album as well as rare demos, remixes, rare b-sides and more. A companion documentary, entitled "of the (sic): Your Nightmares, Our Dreams", is packed with behind the scenes footage of SLIPKNOT from 1999. This inside look features both live and backstage footage from around the world. The DVD also features a never-before-seen concert and all the music videos from their debut cycle, as well as other surprises.

In the decade since the release of "Slipknot", the band has amassed accolades that changed the face of metal. SLIPKNOT has gone on to sell over 10 million albums worldwide, win a Grammy, headline Madison Square Garden and Download festival, have numerous #1 and top 5 rock tracks and videos, as well as debut at #1 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Um...

That was a very non-energetic performance. Corey must have been sick that night.

I wish the video was longer. Corey sounded horrible but if he was sick that is understandable. Good quality footage and the band sounded great.

I am a huge GWAR fan, but to say these guys aren't metal is fucking lame.

Wake tha fuck up! Corey Taylor's sounded like that in every live vid since Vol. 3 came out. The dude can't scream anymore. Watch the Disasterpieces DVD if you want to see a truly top-notch from this band.

You people completely do not pay attention if you are just now noticing how bad his "screaming" voice is COMPLETELY GONE. Has been for almost 6 years!!! Compare ANY of their live performance from early '04-present to their ones from the touring cycles when they supported their first 2 albums. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! He used to scream/ROAR every part PERFECTLY; now he just TALKS those parts, or has the audience do them because he CANNOT SCREAM ANYMORE!!!!! I knew he was fucked up the first time I heard "Pulse Of the Maggots". He sounded like he was hoarse compared to his old vocals. Do you really think it's a coincidence that their last 2 albums have featured TONS of clean singing vocals?? And don't give me that shit about the band wanting to "explore new direction and sound", HE CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE!!! Go to youtube, TAKE YOUR PICK of any performance of "Sic", "Eyeless", "Surfacing", "People=Shit" over the last 5+ years and compare it to the "Disasterpieces" DVD performance, or any live show of your choice circa 1999-2002. Doesn't even sound like the same guy.

Slipknot is truly music for the masses. Masses of idiots. I once had to suffer through a set of this band. It was disgusting to see 5000 people reacting robotically to everything. There was a period of him telling them to "sit down" and then "stand up". Over and over again. Is this a kindergarden class or is this metal? Not sure why there are 100 people in the band, either. A couple of dipshits jumping around in garage jumpsuits banging on drums. What the fuck kind of nonsense is this band? And people support this? 555 to the 666. Is this supposed to be Satanic? The lyrics are nothing more than ghetto rap. Grammy award winning? Jesus Christ! Once and for all, Joey Jordison, get a real band. You are the only one in this band that is worth a shit.
