UVA Basketball Players Interviewed In Case Of Missing METALLICA Fan
- Nov. 24, 2009
|
|
Jason Taylor of Examiner.com reports that unidentified members of University of Virginia's men's basketball team have been interviewed as witnesses in the disappearance of Morgan Harrington. Harrington, who has been missing since October 17, disappeared after being separated from friends while attending a METALLICA concert in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was last seen about 9:30 that night walking on the Copeley Street Bridge, just south of the arena. According to Corinne Geller from the Virginia State Police, the team was practicing at University Hall on October 17, near the METALLICA concert that was being held at the John Paul Jones Arena. ...but there is no way she is still alive. Unless (for whatever reason) she ran away and doesn't want to be found.

I hate to say it, but she is unfortunately deceased by now. I hope this story stays alive though because someone did this and they need to pay for hurting her.
If they find her body, that would be a great start as far as evidence and it would bring the family closure.

Are the basketball players suspects? Or simply witnesses? The article kinda leaves it open.

I fully agree with jhwrathchild. This is not related to music in any way and doubtlessly gets plenty of coverage in national and local media already. One or two items on Blabbermouth, okay. But by now everybody who visits this site has already heard of this case, so this article will not contribute to finding her in any way, and any more news reported here just makes Blabbermouth into even more of a joke as a serious music site than it already was.
For example, next thing you know, Obama makes a remark in an interview that he once went to a Kiss concert, and soon Blabbermouth will start posting one Obama article after another entitled "Kiss fan signs new bill", "Kiss fan meets the president of France" etcetera, etcetera. I mean, if you give this much attention to one supposed "Metallica-fan", than you should give an equal amount of attention to any other person on this planet who happens to visit a metal concert (if you can still call Metallica metal, that is) or wears a metal shirt, right?
Yes, she is missing and that's sad. But ten-thousands of other people are missing around the world, many of whom probably owned some metal cd's, and they don't get any coverage here either.

It's simple... don't click and read the news article... read other ones! You are not forced to read every single news item on this board!
Remember that... :-)
It will help you relax a bit... hehe

Of course it makes sense to have this here...the folks most likely to have witnessed anything to do with the case would be Metalheads. Do you think they will find more witnesses who attended that concert on page A12 of the New York Times, or here?

I agree , This story should be reported on the site. I have seen a lot less music worthy News on BM. I Have loosely followed this story and heard reports Weeks ago that some UVA BB players were talking with her outside the arena near the time she went missing .. Why then has it taken a month before than were interviewed ? There is a lot of details that have been omitted in this case in the press that do not make sense. I am assuming probably due to the investigation.

Got any US Sailors in the house? Trivia where are JPJ's Remains? Father of the American Navy, its important.
On another note I am not in the USA right now nor have been since this occurrence. Is the Media at least in Virginia at large covering this or is it just Blabbermouth, since it relates to Metal?

It is very unlikely that she ran away. It is unlikely she was kidnapped and is being kept alive. It is most likely that she was abducted and or assaulted and killed after someone did despicable things to her.
It is probably someone reading this right now.
