ALICE IN CHAINS has announced the dates and venues for a new North American tour that will kick off on February 2 in Vancouver, Canada, wrapping up on March 21 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Tickets go on sale December 4 and December 5, with more info available at the band's official web site. This round of dates is the group's latest in support of its first studio album in 14 years, "Black Gives Way To Blue", which arrived in September and features the recording debut with the band of singer and guitarist William DuVall.

The tour news also comes as the band prepares a new single called "Your Decision" for rock radio, with a video also on the way. The slower, acoustic-based number is reminiscent of earlier ALICE material in the same vein, but DuVall told The Pulse of Radio that he thinks the album "moves the ball forward" musically for the band. "It absolutely moves the ball forward, absolutely, and we wouldn't have done it otherwise, if we didn't think that we had a shot at moving the ball forward," he said. "I mean, that's totally been the goal from day one and I think it's achieved, you know. I think it adds to, it builds upon what's there."

Before the tour begins, ALICE IN CHAINS will play radio festivals in Las Vegas on December 11 and Los Angeles on December 12.

ALICE IN CHAINS is currently in Europe and finishes its stint there with a show on December 7 in London.

mmm, killer setlist! though, I hope i get a little different setlist when I get to see AIC live, cuz I've heard some of the obscure ones already played live with Jerry's Degradation Trip tour back in 2002.

And I love that swirl on Sean's drums!

on 'Rain When I Die', that song is so awesome. Also, great to see 'It Ain't Like That' on the set list. More songs from Facelift!

was very good. Very good sound (I never, ever heard such mega-heavy bass guitar sound (rain when I die) and good performance. I think some of the AIC songs fit William's voice perfectly (man in a box is a fine example), while other don't (Junkhead).

Awesome setlist. Much more comprehensive than when I saw them in Manchester a week or so back, which had to be cut slightly short due to some technical error. Still an amazing show though. Fantastic band.
