METALLICA: Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico Shows Announced - Nov. 25, 2009
METALLICA's web site has been updated with the following message:

"We're really excited for today's installment of 'where are they going now' as we tell you about four shows coming up in cities we have never played in!!

"The March leg of the 'World Magnetic' tour kicks off on March 1 in Guadalajara, Mexico (which, by the way, we were honored to visit as part of the MTV Latin American Music Awards), heads to Monterrey, Mexico on March 3, and then over to Guatemala City, Guatemala on March 5. We will close out this leg of the tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 14, where we technically have BEEN before, but two or three of you may remember that unfortunately the show scheduled in 1993 was rained out."

Newly announced METALLICA shows:

Mar. 01 - Guadalajara, Mexico @ Estadio Tres de Marzo
Mar. 03 - Monterrey, Mexico @ Estadio Universitario
Mar. 05 - Guatemala City, Guatemala @ Estadio Mateo Flores
Mar. 14 - San Juan, Puerto Rico @ Coliseo de Puerto Rico

METALLICA has released details of the concert DVD that the band will issue in Mexico on November 30th. Titled "Orgullo, Pasion y Gloria: Tres Noches En La Ciudad de Mexico" or "Pride, Passion, and Glory: Three Nights in Mexico City", the set was filmed in front of 155,000 over three nights at Mexico City's Foro Sol Stadium on June 4, June 6 and June 7, 2009. According to METALLICA's web site, the DVD/CD package contains a total of 34 songs taken from all three shows, which each had a different set list. Blu-Ray, digipack and deluxe slipcased editions are also available, with full track listings for each available at the METALLICA site.

Interviews with the group in Mexico are also included.

All the credits will be in Spanish and as with the band's newly released French concert DVD, the set will be available only in stores in Latin America and at the METALLICA web site, beginning the week of December 7.

METALLICA plays a few more U.S. shows next month before breaking for the holidays. The band will resume touring in early 2010 with trips to South America and Europe.

Holy Shit!!

Now these guys are seriously touring the world!

for most bands the idea of touring Latin America is Mexico, Brazil & Argentina.

These guys are goin Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia...

Now That´s a Latin American Leg of a Tour

Hope more bands do the same.

We hope this time they actually play in Puerto Rico not like the fiasco in the 90's.
