SLASH Performs Song From Solo Album With WOLFMOTHER In L.A.; Video Available - Nov. 26, 2009
Slash (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) joined the Australian retro-rock combo WOLFMOTHER on stage this past Tuesday night (November 24) at the Wiltern in Los Angeles to perform a song called "By The Sword" off his upcoming self-titled solo album.

Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below.

Slash played "By The Sword" live for the first time this past Sunday (November 22) at the Avalon in Hollywood, California. The show, billed as "Slash & Friends", was a fundraiser for the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) is a non-profit organization providing services to homeless and runaway youth.

Slash has enlisted a number of rock and pop luminaries to appear on his upcoming self-titled solo album, tentatively due out in March 2010.

Among the artists appearing on the album are Dave Grohl, Flea, Chris Cornell, Duff McKagan, WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper, Nicole Scherzinger, Meat Loaf, MAROON 5's Adam Levine and Ozzy Osbourne, who contributes vocals to the first single.

"Slash" will see Roadrunner Records enter into a unique and innovative association with a U.K. media partner — the special-interest media group Future. In a brand new concept in record distribution the standard album release will be preceded by a "fan pack," in which the Roadrunner Records album will be bundled together with a highly collectable special issue of Future Publishing's Classic Rock magazine dedicated to Slash's career. This will be the first format of the album available anywhere in the world.

I was really impressed by the solo. It sounded like slash is back to form. The song has a cathy riff and good groove. And the singer sounds great. He should take a break from WM and join VR. WM has one good album. The last one sounds uninspired. It's smells like succes if they join forces though...

It seems to be a great song

If only AXL could sing on it, would have been awesome..

The voice of the guy wil be better heard in the album than the cam version of it
