"Improv-jamming", like it's some new thing. Chris Poland is the shit, do they have to still refer to him as an ex Megadeth guitarist though? He has a pretty established career of his own.

Megadeth sure had great guitar players. There's no shame being referred to as "Ex-Megadeth" when you were the ex-guitarist of Megeadeth.

Idk about drum and bass tho.

Some mainstream news outlets do lol

As for Poland; he's an awesome guitarist. Way better than Broderick.

Fusion guys dwell in a whole nutha' world than guys who have their foundation in Metal. Broderick is an incredible guitarist, though... no one can take that from him. It's just that Poland's vibe, feel and sound are more unique....while being just as advanced and technical.

Both are really great guitarists, both technically proficient....but Poland writes better solos, Broderick is more of a syudio musician. Keep in mind that both of these guys blow me away as a guitarist, but I just think that Poland's solos are more interesting.

His playing, while technically proficient, is completely devoid of feeling or emotion.

As it stands, he's my least favorite Megadeth guitarist...and that's a pretty long line!

I listened to the whole performance as I visited different sites without being conscious of the fact that I'm listening to a tune. That's good...

Poland squeezes some great tones out of his guitar.

Exactly. Contrary to what Mustaine says, Broderick is the worst Megadeth guitarist ever in terms of emotion. Probably he's the most accomplished technically, but that's irrelevant if you can't transmit shit.
