BIOHAZARD Debuts PANTERA Cover At London Gig - Nov. 27, 2009
BIOHAZARD debuted its cover of the PANTERA classic "Mouth For War" this past Wednesday night (November 25) at the Scala in London, England. A studio recording of BIOHAZARD's rendition of the track will appear on the forthcoming "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) tribute album which will be released on the cover of the 200th issue of U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine. The CD and the magazine, which will coincide with the five-year anniversary of Dimebag's passing, will be made available on December 16.

The "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott tribute album is expected to include the following artists/cuts, among others:

* FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH - "A New Level"
* UNEARTH - "Sandblasted Skin"
* BIOHAZARD - "Mouth For War"
* MACHINE HEAD - "Fucking Hostile"
* CHIMAIRA - "Slaughtered"
* EVILE - "Cemetery Gates"
* ZAKK WYLDE - "Suicide Note Pt. 1"
* THROWDOWN - [to be announced]
* THIS IS HELL - [to be announced]
* KIUAS - [to be announced]

Other artists that are rumored to have contributed songs to the CD include MALEFICE and SYLOSIS.

The song by EVILE turned out to be bassist Mike Alexander's very last and was recorded just before he himself died of a pulmonary embolism, a blockage of an artery in the lung, on October 5, 2009 while on tour with the band in Sweden.

"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott was co-founder and lead guitarist for PANTERA. When PANTERA broke up in 2003, Dimebag and his brother Vinnie Paul formed DAMAGEPLAN. On Dec. 8, 2004, while performing with DAMAGEPLAN at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag was shot and killed onstage by Nathan Gale. He was 38 years old.

Video footage of Evan Seinfeld (BIOHAZARD) performing the PANTERA classic "Walk" with Vinnie Paul (PANTERA) and SIN CITY SINNERS in Las Vegas in early July 2009 can be viewed below.

I love Biohazard so all I can say is that was fing terrible. Could note hold a note or hit any of the highs he tried to. Saw him miss his cue a few times as well.

I
ll save you the trouble, ever seen Vince Neil solo play drunk? This is worse. A LOT worse.

Are they still around?
Maybe I should ask, Why are they still around?
What a horrible piece of crap band....pathetic.
This "tribute" album is shaping up to be a joke.
With bands like Throwdown and Biohazard on board they might as well try to get Kelly Clarkson to do a cover of 10's, Miley Cyrus can do a cover of Drag the Waters and ooh, let's have Madonna come and do Walk....same thing....this is not a tribute, this is a disgrace.

Why does everyone have to cover that fucking song too. I think most people were sick of it even when pantera was still around. They got a ton of good songs. Play something else please!!

The close up of Vinnie at about 5:30 looks like he's drumming to a different song.

I liked Biohazard, never saw them live. Maybe I wasn't missing much.

I think we all realize this is not Biohazard. Vinnie Paul should never play ANY Pantera song again....with anyone ever again.
Especially not with these pieces of shit.

Yes, we all realize this is not Biohazard, point is that the vocals were just so horrible, Evan is the vocals of Biohazard. I never even got to hear how the music was played, it was so distracting. Looks like Evan needs to get back in shape, he looked fat and sick on that silly Supergroup show.

The rendition of the song is dead, the musicianship is shakky and those vocals, ouch! Having Vince on drums does nothing to help the poor quality of this version. Expect the album version to sound like a ton of brick thanks to studio trickery.

This wasn't a tribute but a failed attempt at recreating something they can't handle properly.

COMMENT | That sounds like TOTAL CRAP

Evan Seinfeld can't sing or shout, the other musicians sound like they're barely holding it together, apart from Vinnie Paul who sounds great as always.
