10 YEARS To Enter Studio In January - Dec. 11, 2009
Knoxville, Tennessee's 10 YEARS has issued the following update:

"Well, I know alot of you are wondering what the hell we are doing and why we aren't touring and etc.

"Well, we are finally done writing new material for our upcoming third album and we are going into the studio to record it in January.

"These are exciting times for us because we finally feel like we are firing on all cylinders and this is the music we should have written along time ago. We couldn't be any prouder of the music we have created and the support and patience of you the fans to give us the time to create something special to give back to you.

"Our philosophy has always been that the music comes first, and we always told ourselves that we would never rush a record just to get it out. We would never put our names on something that we couldn't competely stand behind.

"The recording process should wrap up around mid-Febuary and then we will be on tour very soon after that. We plan on touring across the globe many many times on this album so you can count on us being in your town in the near future wherever you may be. Also be on the lookout for a single to hit the airwaves in March and a spring release for the album."

10 YEARS's sophomore effort, "Division", was released in May 2008. The group spent over a year writing and recording the follow-up to its 2005 debut, "The Autumn Effect", scrapping some initial work with one producer and starting over with another.

10 YEARS ultimately recorded the album with producer Rick Parashar, who worked on PEARL JAM's classic 1991 debut, "Ten".

One tune on "Division", titled "Focus", was co-written with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and ARMY OF ANYONE guitarist Dean DeLeo.

The video for the album's first single, "Beautiful" (see below), took a satirical look at what a press release called "the lengths the paparazzi and celebrities go through to notice each other in the current 'Gotcha!' game of celebrity journalism."

Actually there's a few songs on Division that were mediocre and terrible, like Drug of Choice, it almost sounds like a pop punk song. I really hope these guys don't f*** up on this next album. To me it sounded like their label got too involved with their songs on Division, like they were pushing them to really make a pop album.

The Autumn Effect was great I thought. I wish these guys would keep within the 'Killing All That Holds You' and 'The Autumn Effect' sound. But we shall see.... best of luck 10 Years.

where this band went. They came out with their last album and didn't really tour much after it's release. It's too bad this band has received the recognition it deserves for whatever reason.

Great news. Really looking forward to the new album. I hope they do more touring for this one then they did for the last.

Saw them quite a few times over last few years and they keep getting better and better. I still like the first album a lot but Division has some really good work on it as well. Seeing them on New Years Day again. They never disappoint live. Maybe we will get a taste of some of the new stuff.
