MISFITS Near-Reunion In New Jersey; Video Footage Available

The "American Psycho" lineup of the resurrected MISFITS (minus Jerry Only) reunited for a one-time performance this past Saturday (December 26) at the Starland Ballroom in Sayersville, New Jersey on. Headlining the show was DANZIG. The reunited MISFITS included vocalist Michale Graves, guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein and drummer Dr. Chud. Bassist Jerry Only did not participate, but Argyle Goolsby of BLITZKID/ GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN fame was there to add the low end. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below (courtesy of "JHolewka"). Vocalist Michale Graves has been busy touring with MARKY RAMONE'S BLITZKRIEG as well as supporting his recent live acoustic album, "Illusions Live/Viretta Park", which is available via Screaming Crow Records. GORGEOUS FRANKENSTEIN, featuring Dr. Chud, Goolsby, Doyle and Doyle's wife Gorgeous George of WCW fame, performed tracks from its last self-titled CD on Glenn Danzig's record label, Evilive Records. Also performing that night was SEVENTH VOID, which features members of DANZIG and SAMHAIN/ SON OF SAM guitarist Steve Zing.

Good footage. The Graves Era Misifits albums are damn good IMO. I saw Michale w/ Misfits 10 years ago. Great live show they did.

Anyone know what they called themselves? I thought Jerry would take any former Misfit to court for performing under the Misfits moniker.
Must have been a great show. The Graves era of the band was very solid live.

ok, graves is pretty good, and american psycho was an ok album if you dont compare it to REAL misfits...... better than that jerry lonely's traveling circus anyways.

I was there and it ruled. Two great mini Misfits sets in one night -- plus a fierce Danzig set in between. As much as I love Glenn, that Graves surprise stole the show. The whole night was awesome, though.

I've seen Danzig 5 times over the years but this woulda been a cool show to see. For the record though, I saw the Misfits with Jerry, Robo, and Dez back in October and they absolutely slayed this lineup. People talk shit about Jerry, but if the guy was really all about the money he woulda kissed Danzig's ass years ago and reunited with him because that's obviously what everyone wants to see. He works in a machine shop when he's not on the road with the Misfits, so they guy is clearly not oozing in wealth from touring under the Misfits name. I give him credit for carrying the name on his back all these years even though everyone talks shit about him, and I personally think his vocals on the new single are much better than Michael Graves'. Oh yeah, Seventh Void kicks ass too!

.. well not that this needs repeating. But post danzig the misfits were worthless.
and the problem isn't only kissing danzigs ass, it's the fact that danzig won't bend over for only, And doesn't need to. You see, Danzig actually had a successful music career without feasting off the dead carcass of the misfits, he moved on, did other shit, was successful as that too, because he's talented.
The only reason this band still get's attention is because of the danzig era, you minus that and no one even knows this band exists.
As for only, you get a built guy, give him a bad haircut, and throw him the skills sid vicious had with the bass, and ta da, you've got an only standin.

I know some fans really get into their bands and details on the members etc etc...I love the misfits, their a great great band. My point is, though I love those guys I don't know how big their schlongs are but anyone who is a misfits fan know that the woman in wrestling gear onstage is Doyles wife. The story even mentioned it again.

Um yeah I know who she is.....just making the point that having your wife gyrate around on stage with no real purpose is pretty dumb. Just my opinion that's all.

My brother and I were supposed to go to that show, but we both figured it would be a handfull of songs and not a full set. Looks like we were right. I had read somewhere that one of the reasons Doyle left was because he wanted to let his wife dance on stage during Misfits shows and Jerry said no. If that's the case I understand Jerry's position. A stripper pole has no place at a show where the average age is 15 years old. It also distracts from the music. If you wanna see that kind of show go watch the Genitorturers. I saw the Misfits 3.0 near Thanksgiving and it was a great show a good mix of old and new, I wasn't dissappointed.

'gorgeous' shouldn't be dancing on the pole - it's lame (and she AIN'T gorgeous, IMHO). but it didn't really matter one way or another - with or without her dancing i thought GF was just awful - ESPECIALLY the 'singer'.

would have been cool to see this show. maybe it was different recorders, but graves had a better sound than danzig. still cool to get to see both. i also dug the graves line up, he still sounds good and sung spot on those tunes.

Ok i posted on the other forum above this .This is a burning questions since i am a fan of the Misfits/Danzig for years .There has been a rumor of Glenn having a son for many years here in Jersey .Glenn has denied having any kids .The Danzig/Misfits fans that have heard of it that i know no one knows what to think ?A friend of mine met Glenn 2 weeks ago at Newark airport and asked him about his son Glenn said he didn't want to talk about it .Every now and then i look on ebay where Jeff" Glenn's son" sells all these backstage passes ,itinerary books ,guitar picks,photos all kinds of stuff.None of its junk and a endless supply .I know the son's name is Jeff .Just throwing this out there its just a mystery ?
