L.A. GUNS Featuring TRACII GUNS Signs With STEVE VAI's FAVORED NATIONS - Feb. 2, 2010
The Tracii Guns-led version of L.A. GUNS has inked a deal with Steve Vai's Favored Nations label for the release of the band's as-yet-untitled new album. The CD is tentatively due in late April.

L.A. GUNS has recently been touring in two competing lineups: one featuring Tracii Guns, and another led by his Eighties bandmates, singer Phil Lewis and drummer Steve Riley. "Tracii's L.A. GUNS is bogus," Riley told Rolling Stone magazine. "People want to hear the songs sung by the original lead singer." Guns countered, "Those guys are a couple of dirty motherfuckers. I hired them for my band — if you get hired as a manager at McDonald's, you don't take over the McDonald's."

Guns told Rolling Stone that he was going to court, and he hoped to get the name back. "I just want to put it to bed and start a new band," he said. "This has proved beyond 'Spinal Tap' ridiculous. The next chapter would be us trying to book a convenience store and battling over the $300 they'd pay us."

Jizzy Pearl is a sorry piece of shit !! He was at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas back in 2002 singing for Ratt and we were parked beside the building as always a couple hours early so we could get pics, i see Jizzy coming out of the Ratt bus so i told my Daughter, hey that's Jizzy Pearl who is singing for Ratt, go get his picture and autograph, nobody else is around mind you and he tells her, oh maybe later and walks into the Bronco Bowl !! Fuck him and Tracii Guns !!

"Jizzy was coming out of the Ratt bus so i told my Daughter, hey that's Jizzy Pearl who is singing for Ratt, go get his picture and autograph,"

-Your daughters first crash course at being a groupie! Great parenting! I could understand The singer from Jonas Bros, but sending your daughter to meet your has been heroes? C'mon!

Jizzy's got way better pipes than Phil. And ironically, Axl own's the name Guns n Roses but has anyone ever considered them to be anything other than a cover band with Axl singing his old songs?

And btw, LAG never blew it, they got thrown under the bus along with every other glam/rock band in the 90's when grunge finally hit. Make fun of it but a lot of the glam bands from the 80's are still putting out records or staging comebacks (Ratt, Poison, Dokken, etc)... And they're making money from it. Haters can suck it.

What the Hell happened to that Marty Casey guy? The fact that Tracii has had three different singers in 2 years says a lot about him.

didn't know Vai had a label? I guess it's cool he picked up LA Guns, they should get Paul Black back, or at least Chris Van Dahl back ... why not ... I agree Jizzy sucks, he sucked in Love/Hate 20 years ago and hasn't got better with age ... and to theplumber .... GNR Rules!

He is constantly throwing his name out there for publicity.. Whiney, bitchy old man looking for pub. Meanwhile, Phil just goes about his business. I would much rather see Phil's version. At least the songs sound like they should.

Tracii should get the Craftsman Tool Award.

Tracii is a great guitarist, but it's true...nothing he has done away from Phil even compares to the music he made WITH Phil.....Steve Vai shoulda signed the Phil Lewis version instead, "Tales From Te Strip" sounds like classic LA Guns and kicks ass.

I've read that he won't speak or hang with fans before a show, only afterwards.....I actually met him once in 2002. He was pretty cool and asked if I enjoyed the show...Of course this was AFTER the show and I was also buying one of his books directly from him at the time, so who knows....

L.A. Guns minus Tracii Guns equals zero.

I'd rather see Tracii in ANY band than a so-called "L.A. Guns" without him in it.

LA Guns was a great band, with great potential, much like Axl, and even Coverdale....many musicians don't understand the magic of a songwriting team.....Coverdale/Sykes was the very best of Whitesnake....GNR isn't crap without izzy and slash, or even tracii......LA Guns will never have the power so long as tracii and phil do their own stupid little projects....I mean no disrespect to either of them....but musicians sometimes have the biggest egos, for what? stupidity......
