MEGADETH's 'Rust In Peace' Hits Rock Band Store Next Week - Feb. 4, 2010
According to Kotaku.com, all the tracks from MEGADETH's iconic 1990 album "Rust In Peace" will be added to the Rock Band Music Store on Tuesday, Harmonix has announced. The tracks will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii versions of Rock Band.

The album is available for the 360 and Wii on Tuesday (February 9), and for PS3 on Thursday (February 11). There are nine tracks in all, and they'll be available for $1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU, or 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points per track. The whole album is $14.99, £7.49 UK, €10.99 EU or 1200 Microsoft Points.

"Rust In Peace", commonly cited among the top 5 of the metal genre's most influential works, joins MEGADETH's "Peace Sells ... But Who's Buying?" from 1986 on the Music Store. A statement announcing the new DLC notes that MEGADETH kicks off a month-long "Rust In Peace 20th Anniversary Tour" in March; they'll be joined by TESTAMENT and EXODUS.

This is the bestest news ever, I recently downloaded some BOC, Nazareth, and RATM. Some Rust in Peace will be off the chain! This is why Rock Band rules my PS3, Guitar Hero 5 DLC is getting left in the dust....

Anybody else thinks albums featuring Glen Drover on guitars isn't that bad after all? I find I like better the songs, they've got catchier melodies, warmer and badass. New album is great and technical and yet a little sterile in places...

Some Chickenfoot, Dio Sabbath, Charred Walls of the Damned, Fozzy, and some Hall & Oates. Don't hate, haters "One on One" is some of the finest blue eyed soul ever produced.

Rust in Peace is Megadeth's musical high point, they (or almost anyone else) haven't done anything as well since imo. It remains to be seen if Dave, Chris, Shawn and James can do justice to all these songs on tour, I have my doubts as well as my hopes.

Rockband didn't feel complete without this album. Not to mention it will be the first quality DLC released in months(besides a few exceptions).

this is great news except that it's probably the remasters, which should be tossed in a bonfire and never spoken of ever again

Rust in Peace is a masterpiece featuring some of the best songs to ever be recorded. It should never be allowed to be forgotten, I don't think it is possible for it to be regarded highly enough.

And for the posters above: Endgame is brilliant too. RIP is not easily topped, and I respect Dave for not copying the RIP template. Endgame is simply a different album with an altogether entirely different feel, obviously he made them both and comparisons are easy.

Dave is a musician and in that way he is a genius. It has always been his choice to let us know more, and he is honest to a fault. He does have some personality quirks, but his honesty and intent shine through. Or maybe i can just relate, as I can't shut my mouth either.

I like the way you think

Maybe Riotact could get chained up near the front of the stage, a receptacle for stray kicks from the band, and beer bottles from the crowd.

Hell, he could even be the pre-show entertainment, all naked, chained and gagged ready to 'warm up the crowd'

What's with all the RiotAct666 bashing?

If the guy's for real I wish that just half the fans out there were half the fan he is. The Metal world would a hell of a lot better place.

And if he's not then he's laughing his ass off at all the posters here wasting a lot of time bashing some guy on the internet (especially the posters using their handle to mimic his).

What's that hip new lingo the kids are using these days... Oh yeah, Riotact666 is owning you guys.
