ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY: 'The Reign Of Darkness' First-Week Sales Revealed - Feb. 17, 2010
"The Reign Of Darkness", the new album from U.K. death metallers ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY, sold around 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 34 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"The Reign Of Darkness" was recorded at Foel Studio in Wales and was engineered by Chris Fielding. The CD was mixed by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL, CANNIBAL CORPSE) at Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I BOUGHT THIS CD AFTER HEARING A FEW SONGS ON THEIR MYSPACE. IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. THEY ARE THRASH, METALCORE, AND DEATH ALL ROLLED UP INTO ONE. ALL YOU NEWBIES GIVE THIS BAND A TRY.

They are keeping the old school death metal tradition alive. Nothing groundbreaking, but cool. I prefer Septycal Gorge, as they are doing death metal in an updated old school style---fast as shit and brutal.
