ACCEPT Signs Japanese Deal With UNIVERSAL - July 29, 2010
Reformed heavy metal legends ACCEPT have inked a Japanese deal with Universal. The band's new album, "Blood Of The Nations", will be released in Japan on September 4. According to a press release, the interest in the new CD by the Japanese media is "at an all-time high," and the first press representatives are on their way to ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann's home in Nashville, Tennessee to conduct face-to-face-interviews.

Commented Hoffmann: "Japan was our last missing component in the international marketplace, which we have completed now with Universal! They are the perfect partners for us over there.

"Japan has always been a terrific market for us. We had tremendous success there in the past, so we are very happy to come back to Japan after all these years.

"Rock music is still a big thing in Japan and every good rock band in the world has Japan on their wish list. We can see from our website that we have a lot of fans there.

"We are excited and looking forward to bring them our new album and our great live shows."

As previously reported, ACCEPT has been confirmed for the Loud Park 10 festival, set to take place October 16-17, 2010 at Saitama Super Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Saitama City, Japan.

"Blood Of The Nations" will be released on the following dates:

August 20: Europe (via Nuclear Blast)
September 4: Japan (via Universal)
September 14: North America (via Nuclear Blast)

"Blood Of The Nations" was recorded at Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, England with acclaimed British producer and SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, MASTERPLAN). The CD — which marks the recording debut of the band's latest addition, vocalist Mark Tornillo (ex-TT QUICK) — contains the following 12 tracks:

01. Beat The Bastards
02. Teutonic Terror
03. The Abyss
04. Blood Of The Nations
05. Shades Of Death
06. Locked And Loaded
07. Kill The Pain
08. Rollin Thunder
09. Pandemic
10. New World Comin'
11. No Shelter
12. Bucketful Of Hate

The "Blood Of The Nations" cover artwork can be viewed below.

ACCEPT 2010 is:

Wolf Hoffmann: Guitar
Peter Baltes: Bass
Herman Frank: Guitar
Mark Tornillo: Vocals
Stefan Schwarzmann: Drums

Regarding Tornillo's addition to ACCEPT, Hoffmann previously said, "It all happened in minutes. Peter and I were working on some tunes in a studio in New Jersey. Somebody suggested we give this guy Mark a call to see if he would join us on vocals. So when he arrived we started jamming on some old ACCEPT tunes — just for fun. As soon as Mark started singing we looked at each other and realized the impossible just happened: we found a new voice for ACCEPT! The timing could not have been better! Now or never... We are re-energized and excited..."

I bet the Japanese don't know Udo is gone. Because, of course, all Germans look alike.

But that loud 10 thing looks really, really lame. Halford is the only band worth seeing! Seriously!

Although I don't like all of the bands (Hellyeah cough cough,A7X cough cough, Korn cough cough, Ozzy cough cough), this year's Loud Park is gonna rock.

Loud park's line up doesnt look THAT bad! I'd see Ozzy, Motorhead, Edguy, Amon Amarth, Angra, Spiritual Beggars, Accept, 3 Inches of Blood and Ratt in a heartbeat.

But back on topic, I would have thought that Japan would have been the first market that Accept would have gotten a fresh record deal in.

they need to reissue this show on DVD in its entirety without the annoying comments and interviews that interrupt the songs Especially during Breaker! Accept deserve to continue with or without Udo. Udo will return one day, but for now theyre pretty damn good with Tornillo

Many of you may think that the line up for Loud Park is weak, but it's better than most of the festivals out there. The line up looks weak, because it covers different genres of HR/HM.

I am not too familiar with the new vocalist. I guess I'll check out the new album and see if this guy can fill Udo's shoes.

Hahahahaha why is Korn billed above Halford? Nobody actually likes Korn, someone should let the event organizers know.

Re: Such a Fine Line

First, we must reflect upon the past. It is true that before you met Gaby “Jeanine Petitbone” Hoffmann, your life was cosmically a shambles, wherein you were using bits and pieces of whatever Eastern philosophies happened to drift through your transom, and she sort of sorted it out for you, straightened it out for you, and gave you a path, you know, a path to follow. No one doubts that, and everyone knows that her influence upon your life extends to your music, and that she listens when you are experimenting, and things like that, and that you play things to her, sometimes when you’re worked up and have got a new bit you wants to tell her about, you know, and she tells you “that’s good”, or “that’s bad”, or “that’s sh$t,” or whatever, you know, she is very honest, she is brutally frank, she gives you the brutally frank version and you sort of tart it up for the band. All of this is widely understood.

It is also known that Gaby “Jeanine” provides you with the kind of straight from the heart emotional support and management that a rocker needs to weather the storms of tough decisions. After “Balls to the Wall” and “Metal Heart” stunned the metal world, Accept toured America, and were booked into 10,000 seat arenas, and 15,000 seat venues. By the time that the Bon Jovi-influenced “Eat the Heat” hit the shelves a few years later, Accept was being booked into 1,200 seat arenas, 1,500 seat arenas, and many thought that the popularity of the group was waning. “No,” Gaby “Jeanine” told you, “Accept’s appeal is becoming more selective.” I am sure that cheered you up mightily, along with your being told not to worry about the “Eat the Heat” tour’s Boston gig being cancelled, because it’s not a big college town. In hindsight, maybe you should have dressed the band up as animals, or signs of the zodiac, as Gaby “Jeanine” would remind us the plan actually was.

Since that time, however, Accept has not fared well. The records made after “Metal Heart” demonstrated a complete lack of musical invention, with a musical growth rate that cannot even be charted. Those records were treading water in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry, and no, that’s not nit picking, as the band, reduced to playing gigs where they had a smaller dressing room than the puppets, ultimately ceased operating.

To your credit, no doubt with Gaby “Jeanine’s” support, you decided to take up those projects that you thought, you know, you didn’t have time for, and bring ‘em back to life maybe. And not just garishly computer-enhanced photography, either. At the Luton Palace you were also talking to Peter “Derek Smalls” Baltes about a rock musical based on the life of Jack the Ripper called ’Saucy Jack!’ “Saucy Jack, you’re a naughty one, Saucy Jack, you’re a haughty one, Saucy Jack.” You also always wanted to do a collection of your acoustic numbers with the London Philharmonic, that project ultimately winding up being called “Classical.” And why not? You had a fifteen-year ride, mate. Who wants to be a forty-five year old rock’n’roller, farting around in front of people less than half their age, cranking out some kind of mediocre head-banging bullsh$t, you know, like the songs on “Objection: Overruled,” “Death Row,” and “Predator.” So true, so true.

And now, you have hired a nose singer, and are making a new record! The long-awaited (by several people) follow up to “Predator!” Tell Andy Sneap, however, that he shouldn’t listen to Gaby “Jeanine Petitbone” Hoffmann, and definitely should mix the new record in “doubly,” as this time not being able to hear the vocals would be a definite plus! In any case, after the label is done experimenting with some new packaging materials, there will be quite a stir when the world sees the cover! Wait till they see the cover, very provocative indeed! It’s such a fine line between stupid and clever!
