ROSS THE BOSS Interviewed At U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR (Video) - Sep. 5, 2010
Former MANOWAR guitarist Ross "The Boss" Friedman was interviewed at this year's edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival, which was held August 13-15, 2010 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, United Kingdom. You can now watch the chat in two parts below.

After leaving a wake of destruction throughout this year's European metal festivals, Ross The Boss and his band are returning to the states for their second East Coast blitz.

In anticipation of the November release of the band's second album, "Hailstorm", Ross The Boss (MANOWAR, THE DICTATORS), singer Patrick Fuchs, bassist Carsten Kettering (both of IVORY NIGHT) and drummer Matthias "The German Hammer" Mayer will headline ProgPower USA's Mid-Week Mayhem show on Wednesday, September 8 at The Loft in Atlanta, Georgia. In honor of their performance, the group will be joined by Ross's former MANOWAR bandmate, drummer Scott "The Warlord" Columbus. The band will then head north to Ross' adopted hometown of Syracuse, New York, where on Thursday, September 9, they will headline this year's heavily anticipated Headbangers' Bash at Fusion.

"We have played more than 50 shows together and we've grown as band. We've gone from strength to strength," says Fuchs.

"We annihilated festival crowds in Europe," adds Ross. "And we're getting better and better with each show. Now, we're looking forward to blowing the heads off of people in my old Syracuse stomping grounds."

Joining Ross The Boss at the Headbangers' Bash will be SEVENTH CALLING, TITANIUM BLACK and TRIAL BY FIRE.

After a New England-area appearance, the tour will culminate on Sunday, September 12 at Thunderfest 2010. This amazing event takes place at the Bowery Electric located in the heart of the New York City neighborhood where Ross, as a member of THE DICTATORS, was instrumental in creating the original punk scene.

"People will be coming from all over to see our band perform in New York City for the first time," says the guitar hero. "New York City audiences expect the most and we will deliver a knockout blow. We're going to rip the heart out of the place."

"As always, our set list will be spontaneous," adds Fuchs. "But we will be certain to introduce a few new songs, including 'Dead Man's Curve' and 'Great Gods Glorious'."

Joining Ross The Boss at Thunderfest 2010 are MAGUS BEAST, RAVAGE, SEVENTH CALLING, MARTYRD, HORRIFIER and MADE AGAIN.

Still riding the momentum of Ross The Boss's now-classic 2008 debut, "New Metal Leader", Ross and co. headed back into the studio earlier this year to begin work on their second album. The resulting "Hailstorm" is already creating a fierce buzz throughout the metal community in anticipation of its early November release.

Doesn't this chode live in his mom's basement or something?

Btw.....The Dictators sucked. The only time I saw them I think they were opening for Thin Lizzy-AC/DC and that singer named Dick got booed off and hit in the head with a football.

I thought Bruce was The Boss how did Ross get to be one too.

After hearing that awful soccer hymn the band did in german, I hope the new album will be better than the last one, but what with that other new song"Dead man's curve" my expectations arn't very high.

The first poster should flush himself down the toilet. The Dictators sucked?!!! No, YOU suck, dickwad.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ross, myself, and he was gracious, down to earth and extremely cool. His album is good, solid power metal, too.

Fuck the naysayers.

Since he left Manowar the band has not made any new material that equals what he wrote.
If Eric Adams would start a band with Ross and Scott it would be EPIC.

Ross the Boss rules. The Dictators are the best band to ever come out of NYC, period. Their first 3 records are some of the best rock 'n' roll records ever. "Go Girl Crazy," "Manifest Destiny" and "Blood Brothers" are priceless.
