HUSTLER Magazine Now 'Rocks' - Sep. 3, 2003
After 30 years of hardcore publication, Hustler magazine is changing face. As of August 2003, Hustler added a new rock section, featuring the biggest names in music. The change came about when Hustler decided to take an edgier tone. For that reason, Hustler brought in Nancy B. Sayle, a 20-year music industry veteran, as the new music editor. Utilizing her talents to help make the conversion an easy one, she will be talking with rock stars past and present, giving you uncensored interviews. From subjects on their current projects, advice on how to get the babes and a plethora of groupie stories. Hustler also gave the covers a new look. More sexy and subtle artwork for the covers, great editorial coverage on today's breaking news, and the pictorials that Larry Flynt made famous, Hustler's not just adult anymore.

The first "new-look" Hustler dropped on the stands August 19, featuring OZZY OSBOURNE/BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Zakk Wylde. You can also get the chance to win a signed guitar from ex-MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee if you subscribe to Hustler in the next two issues. The next installment of the magazine, out on the stands on September 16, features MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx and his wife, actress/entrepreneur Donna D'Errico ("Baywatch") on the cover, with Donna "wearing nothing but Nikki's tattoos and a smile." Also included in the "Up & Cumming Bands" section are STONE SOUR and SPINESHANK.

The only way to get any lower than smut peddling is to combine it with deviants like Tommy-Boy Lee and Nikki Suxx.

Who in the hell would want a GUITAR from Tommy Lee. A stick or drum head would be better. I think Tommy knows where his bread and butter are...as a drummer. As a drummer he's a 10. As a guitar player/singer/songwriter he's a mediocre 6. Just cause Dave Grohl can do it all doesn't mean everyone can. If you listen to Tommy talk he comes across as a party boy stoner "dude" and this comes across in his lyrics.

Uh, this is not a 'new' idea. Doesn't anyone reemember that RIP magazine was a subsidiary of Hustler/LFP? Yes kids, Lonn Friend was even Hustler's 'humor' editor at one point. Maybe they're testing the waters to bring it back in some way...?

have been subscribing to HUSTLER for years... I like the new look. I must admit, I was trepidatious at first when I heard they were going to change format, but of course, Larry never disappoints.
Just got the Sixx/D'Errico issue in the 'ol mailbox and well, the wife and I are in "aggreance" that it smokes...

Hard-hitting journalism, insightful articles and GAPING CHICK ASSHOLES!

Really, it doesn't get any better.
