GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist Records Song With THE COMPULSIONS

GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Richard Fortus has recorded a song called "Betrayed" with the New York band THE COMPULSIONS, according to ElectricBasement.com. The recording also features Jimmy Grillo (ex-TOILET BOYS) on bass, Jay Dee Dougherty (PATTI SMITH GROUP) on drums and COMPULSIONS founder Rob Carlyle on vocals and acoustic guitar.
Fortus also appears on THE COMPULSIONS ballad, "My Favorite Wine", recorded in November 2003. The previously unreleased "My Favorite Wine" will be featured on "Sounds from the Underground" (Cheap Shot Records), a compilation record of 15 unsigned bands from New York and Philadelphia. "Sounds from the Underground" is slated for a February 10 release.

everytime i see an article like that i start reading it thinking cool new stuff from slash or izzy and then i realize its about a guy named richard orkus. whos that supposed to be? how often has he played with axl? was it more than one show? thats like calling angus young the guitarist of the stones just because he happened to do some sessions with them. but then angus got a real band on his own...

Guns N Roses, I sorta remeber those losers. Didn't have that whiney sounding bastard singer? Dude they totally sucked ass!!! BWAHAHAHAHAA!! Me and some fellow hardcore evil friends were making fun of those washed up losers the other day. Also, they were playing in a high school gym downtown. They sucked ass.

Steely Dan didn't spend 10 years MAKING an album, they just took a break for ten years. A better comparison would be Boston--they would spend 8 years making an album (that wasnt as good as the ones they took 2 years to make...)
My attitude is PUT IT OUT ALREADY. If its great, it should be great already, and if it sucks, POLISHING A TURD WONT IMPROVE THE SMELL!
I gotta say, I cant really think of Richard Fortus as the Guns guitarist till he's made an album w/them, or at least completes a tour!

I vote for the T-boners. All of them.
"Looser" is
a). a "loser" who can't spell.
b). The reason why Axl keeps changing band members. Paul Huge, for example, just kept getting looser and looser after years of being under Axl's employment, and so Axl had to finally let him go. That's how Richard Fortus (the "new boy") joined the band.
