BLACK LABEL SOCIETY: 'Hangover' Final Track Listing Revealed, ZAKK To Honor RANDY - Mar. 5, 2004
According to the official Zakk Wylde fan site SDMFworldwide.com, the new BLACK LABEL SOCIETY album, "Hangover Music Vol. VI", will feature the following final track listing:

01. Crazy or High
02. Queen of Sorrow
03. Steppin' Stone
04. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
05. Takillya (Estyabon)
06. Won't Find It Here
07. She Deserves A Free Ride (Val's Song)
08. House of Doom
09. Damage is Done
10. Layne
11. Woman Don't Cry
12. No Other
13. Whiter Shade Of Pale (PROCOL HARUM cover)
14. Once More
15. Fear

As previously reported, "Hangover Music Vol. VI" will be released on April 20 through Spitfire Records. Expect the first single "House Of Doom" to hit airwaves sometime soon. "Hangover Music Vol. VI" is mostly acoustic- and piano-based, much like Zakk's 1996 solo album "Book Of Shadows". Mike Inez (ALICE IN CHAINS, OZZY OSBOURNE), James Lomenzo (PRIDE & GLORY, WHITE LION), and J.D. all share bass duties on the album while John Tempesta (ROB ZOMBIE, TESTAMENT, EXODUS) makes a guest appearance on drums. Contrary to previous reports, Brian Tichy (OZZY OSBOURNE, BILLY IDOL) does not appear on the album.

"Hangover Music Vol. VI" marks BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's final album for Spitfire Records under the terms of the group's present agreement with the label.

In other news, Zakk will be attending and honoring Randy Rhoads on March 18 when Randy is scheduled to be inducted posthumously into Hollywood's Rockwalk, the sidewalk gallery on Sunset Boulevard. Rhoads' induction takes place at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.

I'm really excited about this album. BLS is one of the best bands out there, and Zakk is awesome. I really hope this'll be a great album...although I have a feeling it will.

I'm a little surprised...hmm...let's see...

BLS has some really heavy songs, fast songs, but also some great acoustic/piano songs as well. Zakk uses downtuned guitars, but it doesn't sound "nu-metallish." There's harmonic squealing as well, which gets a little time to get used to. Some people don't like Zakk's vocals, but I don't mind them. He sings..no growling, or talking. I'd recommend at least downloading some songs or maybe buying 1919 eternal...(my personal fave) It's got the heavier stuff on it. The Blessed Hellride is a little more bluesy...but it's still great. There's also "A Book of Shadows" by Zakk that contains only acoustic stuff, and will be similar to Hangover Music...so maybe try downloading some songs from that as well, just to get you started at least. Hope that helps!
