Ex-SLAYER Drummer JON DETTE Quits HAVOCHATE, Launches New Project - Aug. 17, 2004
Former SLAYER/TESTAMENT drummer Jon Dette has officially left HAVOCHATE after laying down the drum tracks for their upcoming self-titled sophomore effort at Pyramid Sound Recording Studios in Ithaca with producer Alex Perialas (TESTAMENT, ANTHRAX, OVERKILL). He has since teamed up with original PUSHED guitarist Peter Scheithauer in a "completely brutal," as-yet-unnamed new project which is scheduled to begin recording their debut demo in Los Angeles next week. Joining Dette and Scheithauer in the new group is an unknown vocalist from Florida by the name of Dave Pullaro. Bass duties on the demo will be taken care of former SYSTEMATIC and current MY RUIN bassist Johnny Chow. More information will be made available soon.

Bummer. Oh well, he's a competant drummer but nothing spectacular. Havochate need to bring Louie Clemente out of retirement, or get Perry Strickland.

COMMENT | anyone know why he left testament?

I know Tony Scaglione filled in when Lombardo left after Seasons, but I don't remember Jon Dette ever playing with them.

I've always liked his drumming. He's very underated. But Louie Clemente? Come on man....

Don't know the exact years, but I think Sleazy P is right. There is at least one song on the box set dvd that he is playing on.
